I wear Leather pants as well as my Leather jacket, and I gets tons of compliments from everyone. Used to ride a motorcycle until I got in an accident years ago, but I still wear my Leather.

I got a leather vest from an antique store. It was very worn down so I made subtle modifications to fit the theme (such as adding stud work to the shoulders and experimenting with visual erosion). It’s become a bit of a battle jacket for concerts, but also has an apocalyptic feel to it.

I'm short. So it's hard to find a leather jacket that fits me. I finally found one for me and I love it! Every man should have one leather jacket!

I love my leather jackets. They always make me look very stylish

I have a whimsical take in general on leather jackets (I own biker, bomber, and casual styles). Leather jackets are still rare enough, at least where I live, that I think people who see me wearing one either think I am someone special, or that I must think of myself as special. (I really don’t.) Leather jackets manifest an element of toughness and mystery, particularly biker jackets which have lots of chrome hardware and ‘dingle dangles’ on them. Because of my odd-shift work schedule, I tend to take my daily exercise walk around the neighborhood either near or after dark and usually choose a biker jacket just in case someone’s out and about who might mess with other people on the street. Even though I’m a friendly and easygoing guy I don’t mind looking tougher than I am on such occasions. My leather biker jacket has come in handy during the COVID era too...I wear it because it has an inside pocket big enough to hold the paperwork that excuses me from wearing a mask in public for medical reasons. My community’s mask ordinance stipulates medical exemptions, but few people know this and some stores don’t recognize them. So the leather jacket not only lets me conveniently carry my doctor’s note and copies of two applicable mask ordinances and their listed exemptions, but the tougher appearance the jacket gives me seems to keep the SJW ‘Karens’ from accosting me for not wearing a mask. Leather jackets seem to provoke clothing comments from others that my other clothes don’t. Most strangers will offer a compliment or ask if I ‘rode there’ today. (I used to own a motorcycle, but no longer though I still own/wear leather jackets.) Some strangers and neighbors will give me the ‘once over’ or occasionally look askance at my leather jacket. Only family members have laughed at my jacket or given me a negative comment about my choice of leather clothes. Leather jackets that ‘creak’ a lot-I like the sound myself; it’s rather like a cat purring-are a no-no in a movie theater with a quiet movie playing, however. Strangers who notice my leather jacket sometimes seem to comment to me about it so they can linger near it for a moment or even reach out and touch the leather momentarily (say, with a pat on the arm or back). I know leather has appealing tactile qualities so this usually doesn’t offend me. I think women seeing a man in a leather jacket gravitate to him as ‘sexy’ because the material connotes masculinity, strength, daring, self-confidence, toughness, and along with that toughness and by extension, the ability to protect. Mind you, at least some of this is mere ‘image’ because women wear leather too-not usually to appear masculine!-and because leather isn’t worn solely for style, but also for function. For the people who think leather is ‘masculine,’ I think the reason is that on some level they consider the leather is a projection of the wearer’s masculinity, a sort of ‘amplifier’ of it. A guy in the right leather jacket looks SLICK...and I don’t just mean ‘shiny’ if it’s smooth leather. Anyway...the truth is that anyone might wear leather (if they can afford it) for almost any number of reasons, including laziness-e.g., you grabbed the nearest jacket out of the closet and ran out the door because you’re running late. The hardest thing about wearing leather is getting the fit right, not gaining/losing too much weight which then messes up the fit, taking care of loose thread or replacing failed hardware (zippers especially), and maintaining it with the right leather conditioner. Leather is usually a good investment too, if it’s high quality material to begin with. What I look for in a leather jacket is: Great leather (I know it when I see/feel/hear it) Style I like Good fit Functionality I want (even lined biker jackets aren’t usually warm enough below 40F) Affordable price

haha Antonio looks like we both use artgrid. When I wear a leather jacket it says "I have a rock n' roll attitude" and could care less what people think. Btw speaking of varvatos his dark rebel and rebel rider are great leather fragrances.And yes, his leather jackets are suede jackets are great, but man they are expensive. I've thankfully gotten a few pieces on heavy discount.

When I wear any one of my leather jackets I get complements! The problem with leather is they are cost prohibitive to have resized. After losing 6" my really awesome pig leather long jacket no longer fits. I'm planning to give it to a friend.

Have to agree with you there, Mr. Centeno. Last Saturday i got out to the city's downtown with a leather jacket and a pair of girls were following me, that frankly would've never happened if i wasn't wearing "Le cuir".

I regularly get compliments while wearing my double rider.

9 times out of 10, if it's cold, I'm wearing my brown leather jacket.

I was never into leather jackets. but let me tell you... two months ago i Bought a brown pilots bomberjacket with dark brown teddyfur neck. At first i was like "no way 400$ is too expensive" but god damn those were the best 400$ i invested into something ever! Every day i like my jacket more and more and now thinking about it.. 400$ is not that much for genuine leather. No polyester parts. No bs! I wanted the "real deal". This jacket, combimed with a pair of dark brown teddyfur coated timberland boots, my watch, a decent military green pullover and some blue jeans make me feel ready for the world. Not because of the looks in the first place, but because i feel conftable and safe in my cloths. I feel kind of invincible and ready for the harsh cold weather conditions that are about to come! I am in fucking love with this jacket! And it will be a part of my story in my life!

I have two leather jackets--The first is B-3 Sheepskin Leather Jacket (Dark Brown-Made in Afghanistan) for when it is really cold and a VERY distressed Indiana Jones type for sort of chilly days. I am looking for a thin black goatskin model next but I like either a red or green suede to offset what I already have.

I'm no biker, but I'm a rock n roller. And I don't give a fuck what anyone says about my leather jacket.

I've been wearing leather jackets for the better part of 20 years at this point and I think you nailed all the relevant points with this video 👍

I am wearing a trench coat in a red-brown colour and a 17th century-inspired wide-brimmed hat together with Chelsea boots. Underneath I wear performance pants which look almost identical to those of the suit together with a mono-coloured shirt, a belt and black or grey socks. I am looking like a witch hunter. (One question is whether or not to get a 17th-century shirt) I was befuddled to find out how many people are checking me out and friends of both sexes complimenting me, as well as women around my own age. It was worth it. Regarding the question: I believe you emanate an aura of difference. Standing out can give you an advantage if you are courageous enough to do it. Because of exactly that fact, it makes you attractive. The key here I believe is that you simultaneously carry yourself forward with a certain pondus.

I think the right leather jacket on certain dudes is a home run! I love my A-2 leather jacket with jeans. I have warmer and more functional jackets but still like my leather jacket. Just don't try to be somebody you're not. If it's your style, I say wear it!

Antonio, I have owned many in my day, and now I have two; one of them is the best one I've ever owned and the other is a vintage Espresso color with unique lapels that resembles a German October fest jacket that the guys wear or used to wear. I also think that's better than most I've owned. Both are from Europe and weren't even sold in the U.S. and have 52 as the size. They are very nice indeed!

I'm 53 and own 13 leather jackets in cow, suede, goat, lambskin and deer. I wear leather blazers, bomber jackets, racer jackets, trench coats and car coats of varying colors (brown, black, navy, burgundy, green even a light yellow bomber). Like all clothing, leather jackets look best based on the silhouette, cut and fit and the quality of the leather fabric. The only style I do not wear is the motorcycle jacket (a la Marlon Brandon in "The Wild One") because it looks too busy for my taste (P.S. know your style strengths and limitations). A stylish, classic leather jacket screams sophistication and fashion-forward. Most leather jackets look great with boots and dress shoes, with some minimalist dress sneakers depending on the cut. Moreover, it is a timeless look when I follow these steps: * Have clean silhouettes and no extra zippers, so they have a timeless look. All of my jackets have button sleeves (ribbed sleeves look too informal and restrictive to me) except the navy bomber that has zipped sleeves. I do not recommend having a ribbed bottom on the jacket, as it billows and I feel it can draw attention to the waist. * Store and condition your leather regularly. Use leather conditioner and cream on your jackets to keep them from drying out. Use suede conditioner on suede jackets. I have jackets that are more than 20 years old and still are as supple as when I bought them. I see too many people wearing cracked leather jackets that look dated because they didn't take care of them. * Get leather jackets that are versatile. You should be able to dress up or dress down most leather jackets, wear black or brown shoes, dress pants to jeans and chinos, etc. Another reason I am not a fan of motorcycle jackets is the more zippers and buttons it has, the more likely it will be too casual looking to dress it up.

I had the pleasure of riding my dads 1973 Triumph Bonneville from 2005 to 2007 before he got rid of it, I have to admit, I felt like Marlon Brando wearing the leather Jacket.

I've found people don't come looking for trouble as much. I'm young and avoiding fights at the campus bar (I'm from the UK guys, yes our unis have bars haha). I don't know if it's a mix of the looks and confidence it gives you but man you come in with the nice leathers on. people move out the way and the bartender notices you first. n°2 when comes the moment of taking your Bird home. of course she didn't bring a coat. Leather jackets can "say" a number of things. Firstly, cheap jackets made from a lot of small pieces of leather just say your cheap. Spend the money get a quality leather jacket or don't bother. The right leather jacket made from tough 1mm+ hide says it is functional; it is the real deal and that is cool. Thin, cheap hides ... means it is just a fashion item. Something that means it would afford protection even if it is not required is cool. I have a Vanson jacket that is as tough as nails. It almost feels like a protective skin when I wear it and I normally get compliments. Most of my jackets are for riding bikes and are from Dainese. Even when I meet other bikes they tend to get noticed all the while being black and not flashy. Quality matters here; as it could save your ass. Next up; the perfect leather jacket to wear off the bike ...

I believe it sends the massage I am a classic male with classic tastes and a belief in a classic code. I am a biker and a aviator and I am not afraid to get my hands dirty. And as far as females go I hope it sends the message I am a strong protector.

Me, I have always been more apt to the (leather) trench coat, and dark denim jacket(s). But I'm also not exactly of the "status quo" type. For my coats, I remain of the mindset that a suiting *coat* is more functional and timeless than anything else will ever be. "The message I scream" when I wear my outerwear? ... Practicality is The trump card. People really don't realize just how versatile a coat can be if you choose/keep the correct one.

Not bragging but whenever I wear my leather jacket, some girls actually stare at me in collage.

The only leather jacket I've ever wanted (and the only one I've ever owned/worn) was an A-2 pilot jacket (similar to the G3 @ 05:24). Other than that, leather had no appeal to me. It's just for shoes and belts.
