People often underestimate financial advisors' importance. Over 50 years of data reveal that those who work with advisors typically earn more than those who go it alone. I've been fortunate to work with one for 13 years, resulting in a $2 million portfolio, largely from early investments in AI and other growth stocks.

There are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’Kristin Amber Landis” for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look her up.

Things appear strange right now. the value of the US dollars is declining due to inflation, but is increasing in comparison to other currencies and commodities such as gold and real estate. People are flocking to the dollar because they believe it is safer. I'm worried the rising inflation will cause my $420,000 retirement fund will loose value. What else can we do with our money.

I believe the safest approach is to diversify investments especially under professional; guide. You can mitigate the effects of a market meltdown by diversifying their investments across different asset classes such as stocks, etfs etc It is important to seek the advice of an expert.

A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

I was saving money to finally buy my own dream altsaxophone (I m studying to enter a major music academy and although I’m playing a magnificent tenor Selmer from the orchestra in that orchestra, the altsax is the one used during advanced classical academic training). I was nearly there when cancer struck and I had to pay 5k€ on hospital bills due to a change in insurance agreements I wasn’t notified of by my employer. Two years further, almost there again, tax on disability allowance takes every cent away again. I cried my heart out, two saxophones evaporated in thin air. But I’m not giving up!

Personally I believe I have the desire for all 7, I've spent many hours building the mental model necessary to become a successful individual, although every day I'm still working on each of my qualities, I've overcome a lot of hardship and tried to learn the lessons from all of them, but where I struggle is putting it all together and transferring what I believe inside to tangible results, I did it with my KZread channel but have struggled in other areas since then, definitely a work in progress but I'll let y'all know how it goes for me. This video gives me additional confidence as well.

@@aaronjohnson5182 It's a long story but I'll try to explain, I was demonetised while my channel was at it's prime, I was cut for "stealing content" even though I'd never done it, but because the game that got me so popular was very simple it bared resemblance to other videos and a bot must've picked it up and flagged me, for months I sent email after email trying to explain but was met with automated replies and no results, after 6 months and over 100 emails and appeals I finally got my revenue back, but because so much time had passed my channel was a shell of how it used to be, I was too disheartened by it all after seeing my views shattered, I tried to get back into it but couldn't regain traction again, I also was in a hard spot as I lived alone and burnt through all the earnings I did make on rent etc so needed to find a "real" job and wasn't able to dedicate myself the same way, inevitably I just called it quits, now it's just a nice relic and a cool story with a play button hanging on my wall. Maybe one day I will return

You mentioned that comparing yourself to others is a completely bad thing which I have to disagree with because I look at what other people have and what thy have accomplished and use that as inspiration to work harder, achieve my goals, and to push the limits. These are all great, but I would like to add 1 more thing to the list. Build a small team of friends with specialized skills. I've been investing for almost 20 years, in my "group," we have the finance guy, the healthcare guy, the tech guy, housing guy, and international news/business guy. We are all nerds and geeks but, with over 20+year of paying attention and learning, the amount of information passed amongst us has guided us where to shift money, set up side hustles for multiple income sources, but most importantly, trust and confidence. 7/7, fantastic video and I hope anyone who watches really digests everything that you said because it 100% accurate.

Keep it up. Every 5 second TikTok is 5 seconds that could be learning a new skill. I must admit I sometimes indulge in 2 or 3 KZread Shorts, but there's a limit (and TikTok may as well be of the devil). The rest of the time I work fulltime, study postgraduate part time, and work some more part time. There has barely been a day in the past 13 years I was not actively working on bettering or learning a skill

I always compare myself to others: It can answer questions like: Am I doing enough to achieve some goal. How am I improving compared to someone else. What are other people prioritising? These comparisons are not about „keeping up with the Johnsons“, but self evaluation. You always need to compare to some other measurement to measure the difference.

I really find your videos inspirational and helpful :) as for me, i am a teenager who has most of these skills, lacking a little in time with winners and assets however I am trying to change that, as for both time with winners and assets I joined our school's investment club to learn about investing as well as hanging around some successful teenagers at my school who are honestly the best access I have to winners compared to others im around in my classes. Truly thank you, this helped my realize I do have the skills and I CAN do it as long as I continue to have faith in myself and my dreams

Good for you!! Remember, you have time on your side. Make mistakes but stick with the long term goal. And remember...people overestimate what they can do in a short amount of time and underestimate what they can do in a long period of time. If you have a long term vision and discipline, you will not fail

Its really hard to find another person with a passion and ambition these days. I had many friends that simply didn't want to do much in life and was dragging everyone around themselves down so I ended up having to leave the friendship behind. Its easy to find someone with a passion online but out in general public is really difficult. Number 6 is defiantly one I'm still trying to work out.

Rich and happy ! Sounds good , it’s just important by what means you become rich if you sold your dignity and human values , gaining money by lying and stilling then your money will make slave of and remind you of how bad you are and how badly you made your fortune. But still you are rich but living on your own with no trust and friends around but hypocrisy and always thinking people surround you just for money even though there might be some sincere people that you never arrive to trust ! But I agree with you in many thoughts! Thanks

Please be my mentor, I'm ticking most of the boxes except the people I'm surrounded with. Kicked all my old friends and even family members out and surrounded myself with books written by rich people. Debt free and have already some passive income, now saving for my next real estate that I will buy with no mortgage. I live in my own apartment in a cool city in Europe that I bought with no mortgage so can save a lot now from my job as a sw engineer. My goal is financial freedom. I need to buy 2 more apartments, have 2 places in mind (in the building I live and in a neighborhood in the us where my rental condo is). One apartment I will inherit but there us still time till that happens .. (hopefully a lot )

Warren Buffet is just doing it the slow way with investment, that's why. I believe that anything is possible if you just could control your desire and with hard work and talent and a little bit of luck you can do it. I respect Nathan's dream of becoming the first trillionare. And i also respect your opinion. But hey just go with your opinion if you believe it that way because we all have different opinions. I don't mean to offend and start an argument in any way but you also need to set a mindset that anything is possible. Sorry if my spelling is wrong as english is not my main language.

Ironically what gives me ideas is playing MMOs. The grinding and learning the in game market have been useful skills that I have implemented before and did pretty well with. The biggest thing I learned is to turn my real life skills into similar skills in the game and once I get better and better at a skill I can then start marketing it to make more money and develop a business that way. Right now it is web design and software development I am working on along with machine learning and data science.
