No offense but your Dad needs to be put on a watch list and have a restraining order that says he can’t come in 500ft of a guitar.

I see no problem with sticker bombing your guitar if it's already pretty banged up. It's a common thing in both skate boarding and drifting (especially if they want to draw attention away from all the dents the car has that they haven't repaired yet)

I'm just now attempting to learn guitar- that hummus part still made me uncomfortable on a level I can't even explain.

I knew a drummer that tuned his drums by putting concrete blocks on the heads, and tighten lugs until the "wrinkles in the drum head around the block were uniform ". Craziest thing, his set sounded amazing. I caught him using a drum torque wrench tuning his drums. It was his way to throw off other drummers from learning his secrets. I understand that, I tell guitarists my pickups have CHERNOBYL MAGNETS.

Personallly I'm a beginner I have a moderately affordable guitar that isn't god tier I can put sticker on it if I want to as long as it doesn't get in the way of it's function. You do you bro. But never put stickers on anything over 500 dollars it's just tacky.

Dr Pepper 69 no, it’s definitely the fact that he slapped stickers all over an expensive guitar lol. You just ... don’t do that. If you have some cheap, unimportant squier strat or something, then maybe, but I would never put stickers on something of value. Especially because you never know if you’ll resell it in the future

During the first few months of learning guitar, I switched out the perfectly good strings that came with my guitar for a set of 11s with a thicker 6th for drop tuning. I got decent calluses within a week.

In college I had my really nice Carvin completely covered in stickers, anything I could get my hands on. It was a lot of work after a couple of years to remove them. I only left a Peace Sign behind the bridge and a skateboard shop pin-up girl "sitting" above one of the tone knobs.

I like the look of a well designed vinyl decal that is one color on a plain color guitar. If they get put on anything with burl or any sort of patterns it drives me nuts though.

Funny. Thru the years, I’ve installed and p, a few weeks later, removed more stickers on my guitars than I can count. Not on the expensive guitars, mind you. I currently have a cool Recording King Dirty 30s Parlor guitar in tobacco burst. It’s my sticker guitar; over the last 3 or 4 years, it has gone from tastefully small laser cut Led Zeppelin “symbols” to The Clash, Steve Earle, The Beatles, The Who, The Rollingstones, a skull and crossbones (always a fav), more than I can recall. Now it’s back to nada.

Theory: putting stickers on a guitar is psychotic. Jonny Greenwood: puts stickers on his Tele. Theory: confirmed.

I got a sticker when I got a replacement part for my recently purchased guitar. I honestly don't know what to do with it. Though it would probably look funny to have the logo not just on the headstock but also on the body? :D
