How beautiful this video is.....oh my God...bless the video makers. No hate, no hidden agenda just pure explaination and simplicity of explaining such complex hindu structure and emphesising on beauty of this religion. Feels so proud and good to see our religion being explained in its good and bad parts equally. Keep it up 🙂

As per the vedic texts there is only single power which exists in many forms... There is no difference to be observed between them...if that power should protect it comes as durga if ti needs to grant knowledge it comes as sarawathi if it needs to relish the resources it comes as lakshmi....all the three are same and have the power of everything....this is advaitha....

Namaste. This video is AMAZING! The way you succinctly show the origins of the Hindu caste system and why it adds to suffering is so powerful. Thank you.

In another school of thought Tara is the second Maha Vidya and one of the form of Tara is Nila Saraswati or the Tantrik Saraswati .

Interesting video overall, yet conclusive thought is somewhat paradoxical. It looks as if it was the Tantrikas turn now to dominate the purists through presenting absolute non-difference between what's clean and dirty (which in itself doesn't seem pragmatic, as we can easily tell dirt from cleanliness in our daily concerns).

This was the story of the dominance over knowledge by the brahimns. They did this so that they are not exploited by the kshatriyas(who possessed power) and/or the vaishyas i.e. traders(who possessed wealth). Power is associated with devi durga or Shakti while Wealth is associated with Devi Lakshmi. So the brahmins who possessed the Vedic knowledge claimed that Devi Saraswati(Goddesses of Knowledge) was there Goddess. In this way the true meaning of knowledge was corrupted and became a medium of acquiring wealth. This is eminent in modern day when educational institutions sell knowledge for money.

I agree with everything except the meat. No mother wants to receive the murdered body parts of her children as an offering. There's no such thing as pure and impure in the animal kingdom, but human beings have a choice to sustain life in the ahimsa fashion, and this is the will of Saraswathi, Lakshmi, Parvati, Kali; the all goddess.

Everyone tells stories and does art. They're holding people back. Where do you think ideas come from? Life. Hollywood steals stories and won't let us cycle. They should devalue it except for the truly gifted. I advocate for my animal rights. Purity is annoying.

Nice videos on the Goddeses bit I can't help but sense the feminist mind set of the narrator etc seeped in. Caste system was not existent in vedic culture before British rule. They took the Varna ashrama system and played on it like how they played on the mindset of all the cultures they once dominated. So let's stop spreading that myth please

To say that Buddhism (Tara) had anything to do with Saraswati is ludicrous. Buddhism is a child compared to Hinduism...The former is only 2500 years old and the latter many thousands of years older...

Buddhism is a more simplified offshoot of Hinduism, propounded primarily in Pali and Prakrit so that the lower strata of the society could gain access to the knowledge in the Vedas, which were previously accessible only to the higher strata of the society, who spoke Sanskrit. Therefore naturally, Hinduism is older than Buddhism. Now if Buddhism is a simplified version of Hinduism, then why is it so ludicrous for the latter offshoot of the same religion to have brought a deity from Hinduism into its folds? And the narrator of this documentary specifies that Tara is often viewed as 'another form of Saraswati, not necessarily Saraswati herself. Its the same as saying that the Sumerian Goddess of war and sexual love, Ishtar, is another form of Kali...or that Ishtar embodies elements of Kali within her... These are archetypal figures...they recur throughout the world in different civilizations....the correlation is not ludicrous, its extremely rational from an Theological Archaeologist's point of view.

Absolutely. Saraswathi was the oldest Goddess and was the only one worshipped during vedic times. Her origins are atleast 8000 years old. Devdutt Pattanaik, though entertaining, has a Buddhism bias. Notice it carefully.
