Exactly. Also if you make a mask with banana, blueberries, avacado, aloevera, and a tiny bit of flaxseed oil...all bought from the grocery store. Blend very well...I usually be sure to blend...rest motor, blend until I've blended for 5mins....WORKS WONDERS ON HIGH OR LOW POROSITY HAIR. HIGH USE IT COLD, LOW PUT IN GLASS JAR-PUT GLASS JAR IN BOWL OF HOT WATER THEN APPLY. CURLS WILL BE SO HYDRATED. LEAVE IN 45MINS. I LEAVE IT IN SOMETIMES FOR DAYS MY HAIR BE SO GORGEOUS!

No no Erin its not that its her limit her hair is just in the middle of a phase in the growth cycle. Oluchi right now your hair is in a phase where it is growing a little slower. The reason why you have plateaued is because your hair is breaking off before it can grow out. I suggest you moisturize your hair and put it in a longterm protective hairstyle (NOT TOO TIGHT OR YOU WILL EXPERIENCE MORE BREAKAGE) and MOISTURIZE it while it is in that hairstyle. What you need to do right now is to just leave it alone and let it flourish, once you take it out of that long term protective hairstyle ( one month or more) I guarantee you will see growth. I suggest you watch greenbeauty’s videos on protective styling, she will present facts and tips for protective styling for growth.

@@mariahthomas1584 I always read the ingredients list now so I know what it will do to my hair the first 10 ingredients. Most styling products do not have conditioning agents or humectants and are of a thick consistency to mould the hair into shape, make it shiny or to give it hold. Something may seal in moisture and make the hair smooth but it also stops moisture from getting in with buildup. Even my leave in conditioner builds up with in a week because I have to use so much on my high porosity hair. Reading the ingredients and the thinnest or thickness of a product usually provides a formulation as to how your hair will react as long as you know your porosity, strand diameter, density and curl pattern.

What do you think about the green house effect? Can you do a video on it? I dc once per week with a heating cap and my hair is moisturized. But I haven’t seen growth in a year. I measure and take pics of my hair. Since my hair isn’t growing, I decided to try the ghe method. I wear my hair out about 2x per week. I’ve even tried to wear protective styles for a couple of weeks. I have come to realize that I have difficult hair that grows extremely slow.

Also only wear loose twists or two or three French braids. Shampoo and Deep condition weekly with heat. Massage you scalp also but do not put oil on the scalp.

Thanks for this sis. Am also guilty of over doing what the instruction of a product says hun!!!. Please do you advice i do on my wash days i wash once in a week but don't know if the routine i have adopted is really good for my hair type sha, because my is of a high porocity. So all i have been doing is use ginger and onion juice on my hair then leave it for two hours before i wash that off with my homemade shampoo which comprises of the black Ghana black soap, some apple cider vinegar, ginger juice and some olive oil, thereafter good in with my conditioner wash that out and then while is the hair still a bit damp i apply my shae butter mix which i learnt from you and finally go in with my cold press carrot oil before i detangle and do a two strands twist. I usually leave the twist like it is for a week but would always just pray in water, apply my shae butter mix and my carrot oil till the next wash day. I do my clarifying things by mixing a table spoon of cinnamon powder to some of my homemade shampoo once a month but i feel my hair is not really growing because this year August ending i will be three years since i have transitioned to carrying natural hair and my length is just 7cm fa!!! So please help me out sis because you have the result i mean going by your hair now. Love you 😘❤️❤️❤️❤️. Don't mind my long epistle oo thanks for your quick response ma.

You do not need a rinse out conditioner. You only need a deep conditioner to retain moisture. Using a rinse out conditioner as a deep conditioner is perfectly fine. But if you use rinse out conditioner before deep conditioner you will clog the hair cuticle and the moisture won't penetrate the hair shaft.
