My birds are the best, they give me an excuse to never leave my home ever, even last year when going out was a thing. If my friends want to hang out, I’ll just video Fate screaming as a way to say “can’t I have three kids- I mean parrots”

My favorites are lovebirds they are really cute and the name for them in my native language is Pfirsichköpfchen (which means Peachy head)

I’m 16 and my mom adopted my pet parrot oscar in 1991. He’s 32 now. I go to college in 2 years and my bird has grown to love me over everyone else in the family and IT WASNT MY DECISION TO GET HIM! Don’t get me wrong I am IN LOVE with my parrot but I don’t want to make him uncomfortable when I go to college. I don’t really have a choice:(

I also can’t blame my parents for getting him because they didn’t know that In 30 years he would grow to love their daughter 10000x more than them😂😂

Totally no one's fault. Birds just pick certain people sometimes, no matter who is "supposed" to be their caretaker. It'll be a difficult adjustment for Oscar, but hopefully he will get used to it and learn to love everyone else again.

Omg I love tiki! This video was very helpful for me. Also it’s kinda funny to hear Tiki screaming sometimes. (yes it’s not always very pretty no offense) love both of you and keep up ur great work!

Great list! Also, how about people who tend to get migraines and bad headaches? You can't just turn the volume down with a bird lol. Sometimes bird sounds can set off a terrible migraine attack. That would be so sad if a person developes chronic migraines and they couldn't tolerate being around their bird... I would just hope they could find meds and surgical procedures that would enable them to keep their little friend in their life no matter what 🥺 My dog used to be very vocal, but after developing a condition that causes severe migraines, she curbed her sounds to low, quiet rumbling type sounds instead of her normal loud barking and howling. She did this on her own by the way. Idk if birds have the same sense to change their behavior based on how their human is feeling, I'm pretty sure it's a dog-only trait 😉

So I was around 9 when we got our bird and the reason we got our bird was because my friends parents traveled a lot for work so we adopted him to relieve him of the consent stress of kinda being alone and only having some house watchers

I got my 2 Quakers in 6 grade .

I only have classes two days out of the week and I’m always home alone dying of boredom with no company. Can you take them outside? Like with a little leash around on of their feet ? 😭😭

My brother is getting a bird and he is 8 years old he is good with all animals and does not care about bites and knows how big the cage should be and what to feed the bird and he knows about them living to 10 to 15 years he is getting a budgie

I am getting a green cheek conure in a few months and I am 17. I am at home pretty much all day because I took a high school equivalency test and got my GED. I am VERY bored all day and I decided it's time to get a bird. I have been obsessed with birds for years and I have done so much research leading up to now. I'm at a difficult age and I just need something to do. I dont have a car and I have been struggling to get a job, but I have very supportive parents who are helping me get a nice big cage and bird stuff for Christmas and my birthday. I feel that with these circumstances its definitely okay to get a bird at my age. My room also uses to be a home theater so the walls are sound proof. How perfect is that??? Anyway I love Tiki and when I move out I am hopefully going to get a quaker parrot as well. Love your vids :)

I would get one but I have 1 cat who is lazy but if she sees a bird close to her she’ll turn into a ninja or something lol I also have another cat who just hunts all the time. So if I got a parrot or a bird or anything like that they’ll be dead. If I got a kitten who is with the parrot who is also a baby maybe they’ll bond with each other like dogs and stuff

I am ten and I really want a bird but are house it to small and she said if we get a bigger house we can and I would take care of it
