Interesting comment about Carved Oud. I think that’s actually quite a dynamic and complex fragrance whereas Oud Wood stays pretty linear.

Aaron Terence Hughes Oud, my absolute favorite 3 types of oud, some other fun stuff, blended perfectly

Vanilla oud by vertus smells amazing! I own sweetie aoud, oud for greatness, oud wood, and oud satin mood, but I wouldn’t consider any of them actual oud fragrances. They are all very western and synthetic ouds that could be viewed as an artistic interpretation of oud. They are all lovely and worthy of purchase, but you aren’t really getting oud, at least to my nose. I own several vials of pure oud oil from ensar oud, everything from funky barnyard all the way to smooth opulent and complex. That’s all to say I know what real oud smells like. Ensar also has a perfume line of the highest quality naturals, but be prepared to drop thousands if you want to pick up some of those. I’d love to try some Aaron Terrence Hughes fragrances as I know he uses real genuine oud and supposedly blends it to perfection, but I can’t personally vouch for them yet.

Personally i was never really a fan of MFK till i sampled Oud Satin Mood, definitely the best in the house in my opinion

Montale Oud Tobacco. A noticeable incense note and a sweet and smooth oud. Gorgeous. Montale Oud Edition. Honey, and again a sweet and smooth oud. Montale Arabians Tonka. Sugar, leather and smooth oud. For a cheapie oud note, or cheaper, Gucci Intense Oud. For another designer oud note fragrance but with a vintage vibe, YSL M7 Oud Absolu.

Just got in daddy from Aaron Terence Hughes if you haven’t experienced it you should definitely check it out such a smooth and addictive oud fragrance sweet slightly powdery very clean smell no barnyard or animalistic smell extremely easy to wear

Enjoyed it. Have you tried Thameen carved Oud? It’s a slightly more refined/regal and longer lasting version of Oud Wood. Pricey but worth it.

What city are you from? I have been wearing oud oil since the 90's, can't afford the good stuff anymore, plus I wouldn't purchase thu the next, now turning to colognes. What is your opinion of the very best cologne made. I know it is hard because of the blends, I just smelled the Gucci and Tom Ford and was like this isn't oud. Lol but hey they have to market it and make money.

Bought a $12 decant of it and had to give it away. Couldn’t even wash it off. Reminded me of Layton which I don’t get either. My two cents.

A shame that the list has not a single real oud fragrance (Even oud For Greatness, which marketing company was based on realness of it's oud, had just trace unnoticeable amount of real thing). You would think that Roja has to be natural, but no, Sweetie Aoud is a synthetic oud one.

My favorite Ouds to wear for any night occasions are TF Oud Wood and Gucci Oud Intense. Nightclub VIP Ouds would be Roja Amber Aoud and Swiss Arabian Oud depending on how much attention you want. Ouds that are not mentioned often are Dunhill Icon Absolute and HB Bottled Oud; both are excellent. OFG and the Mizensir ouds are high quality fragrances but not interested in buying because I have too much already. MFK Satin Oud is a seductive one good for date night. The most offensive oud to my nose is Le Labo Oud, it smells like you just scratched yourself (c’mon, you all do it) 😂

@@Kadaf1 You're right, my apologies. It would be Shaghaf Oud in the bottle that looks like a bar of gold. It has a praline note which makes you smell like a fresh baked cookie. What lady can resist that? :)

Based on what I just saw, Sweetie Aoud will probably be one that I’ll never be able to even sample. Even the 5ml is over $100 bucks. That’s way too much for such a small sample. Love Oud Wood though!
