I came up with the insane plan to see 5 castles in 1 day. That turned out to be impossible, because we had a dinner meeting on the other side of Northumberland, so we decided to make it a 2 day “castle dash” and see 7 Northumbrian Castles in 2 days! It was a mad Northern England road trip, but we loved it! The castles were all so interesting and varied!
