I typically leave my sewing up for 6 months just because I don’t have the time to actually do anything with my hair. And it has helped my hair grow longer and stronger. You did such a wonderful job on your hair ..cousin got them growing hair hands..Keep up the amazing work. I know life gets busy and sometimes we can be a mess but when we want to snap back into our baddie mode we snaps back into it 😍

just a note, the neutralizing shampoo stops the relaxer from processing. even if you rinse out the relaxer it still can process in your hair. next time i suggest neutralizing first then using olaplex. you did an amazing job trimming your hair. it looks so full and has a lot of body!

I just wanted to say that you have beautiful hair! I also wanted to share a quick tip with you. When you apply a relaxer to your hair, try to only apply it to your new growth. Applying it to your old hair can lead to overprocessing, which weakens the hair and can cause unnecessary breakage in the long run. I am a licensed stylist and I was happy to see you opt out of the protein treatment on the same day as the relaxer. Great choice!

Remember, it's normal for all that hair to come out. Hair shed thousands of strands daily. So if you're not combing and leaving it alone, all that dead hair is going to build up and a lot is foing to come out. But its okay.

@@exoticbeautyy a lot of people do this. They texlax the hair to make it more manageable but they don't want to be fully relaxed. She left some texture because it's usually in cornrows under a protective style/wig/sew in, etc for a few months. She straightened it with the heat to be able to trim it. It also helps to blend it in with the clip in extensions and to be able to wear it for a week or two to give her hair a break from her usual.

Not healthy for hair to keep protective style so long. Combing hair when wet tears it out especially if perm. If I did that I wouldn’t have any so I think your hair is strong, but could have so much more if you didn’t. You did an awesome job doing that hair.

  • @ocky88

I’m all for low manipulation but this is counter productive. Taking your hair down every two weeks or at least every month to detangle, remove shed hair, wash and deep condition would have saved you so much length. Your ends would not have looked like that. I really want African girls to learn how to take care of your hair. Treating it like a curse to be avoided ain’t it
