The audio recording of this video sounds great, it is clean, clear and well mixed. Good spacing between well written sentences. Background music is not overpowering. Possibly it was mastered without the mistakes you have described!

I constantly speak about the last one. Right now many new mastering engineers are creating what's called as "The LUFS Wars", because people preffer to set the loudness to fixed numbers instead of using their tastes in music to make the songs as good as possible.

Thanks for watching this one! You're right, a think a mixture of both is good - keep the LUFS in mind, but don't be afraid to create something different if you want. SageAudio.com

-14 LUFS is a joke. I ALWAYS hit something between -8 and -9 LUFS and I work mostly on Hip-Hop/Trap music - if I mix & master a heavy dense rock or a metal song - my gosh I would aim for something much higher

Thanks for watching Bonzvy! It's a good place to start, but feeling that it's the only loudness you can master to isn't the best for creativity. Like you said, different genres need different loudnesses/approaches! SageAudio.com

.all of your advices are very useful Maybe my opinions are not so important but I can say something about this topic The biggest mistake of many mastering Engineers is when they want to compress for example kick, they do this exactly as the same as some KZread mastering activities Most of Engineers don't trust they ears and they don't have enough self confidence to break the rules Rules always are temporary I remember that last years I insisted on compress drums group with 2dbs gain reduction and I was so afraid to overdo it even for myself to hear what may happen but these days with some release and attack time adjusting on ssl G comp, my gain reduction touches 10 dbs reduction without any distortion or bad sound or squashing illogical and in most of the times best mastering glue of signal is my consequence I can say many things about mastering and my experiences are not limited but I'm sorry for my weak language I'm persian and I live in Iran, Anyways despite of being your new subscriber, but I have learned so many things from your channel and awesome videos

Hey Kambiz! Great advice! I agree - always sticking to a rule doesn't let you react to what you're working on in a unique way. Thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment! SageAudio.com
