Stormlord still has the uncensored graphics within the ROM, making it quite easy to hack it and decensor. Supposedly there was supposed to be a cheat to enable them but it was either removed or never discovered. Kind of a shame that they censored it because otherwise it's almost a definitive version since it has more levels and slightly more forgiving difficulty.

@@st1ka I think a lot of it was detail level. Can you at a glance be sure if the character is actually naked? If not? meh. It's like how a lot of games have stone statues for women that... have no way to be 100% sure if the statue is a top-lees render or not since... it leaves out those details. LOL, it was just a double-standard. Back then people would bug out if little Jimmy saw it in a game, and yet those same people didn't mind little Jimmy seeing pictures of Michelangelo's painting in the Sistine Chapel where he painted nudes on a church's ceiling. Nude paintings by famous artists were "art" while video games were vulgar. What we have now with the ratings system isn't perfect, but at least we can now have games with all types of content in it with less hassle. There's still some hassle over it, but as video games get classified as "art" similar to movies, music, etc., it's been getting better.

Kind of funny how in in modern Nintendo's Animal Crossing you can get artwork that's based off of real art made by real historical artists that show nudity, such as Michelangelo's David and they don't censor it at all and the game still gets an E rating. But then again it's great art. It would be an insult to cover it up because of the outrage of a few moral guardians. And of course, the male protagonist in Stormlord wears a loincloth.

Holy crap I have waited so long for someone to talk about The Apprentice; because it gives me the chance to talk about HalfBlindGamer. So in my early 20's I was in the thick of my retrogaming phase; mostly because I was rediscovering all of the games I'd never got to play as a kid growing up in the UK. One of the main ways I learnt about retro games was youtube (RIP retrowareTV); and just to try and explain how much youtube helped me find out about stuff the UK didn't get; I didn't even know the Turbographx existed until I saw HappyConsoleGamers videos back in the day. The CDI was another system I had absolutely no experience or knowledge of and honestly; I still do not believe there is any channel that even rivals HalfBlindGamer when it comes to this (but I'm getting ahead of myself). Essentially I wanted to know more about the CDI and found HalfBlindGamers channel and it was like entering another world (remember this was 13 years ago about, for some perspective, LGR hadn't even done his first Sim's video at this point. He was the only youtuber who actually looked at the system, was knowledgeable about it and was objective about the game. He even did a longplay of the Zelda CDI games defending them; and honestly I still kind of defend them myself because of those videos. He also did a HUGE series into The Apprentice and as far as I am aware, was the first person ever on youtube to show all this nude shit. It honestly blew my mind. You can't even grasp how far the game goes until you see the codes for yourself. Before this point, I didn't even know that developers made sexual easter eggs in games, so to see a game that is basically filled with what looks like underage girls without their clothes on; it's utterly bizarre. He obviously talks about it in the video, but from what I remember; no one EVER found these codes. It wasn't until an ex-developer from the game going by "ANONYMOUS-CDI-DEVELOPER" or something like that, went onto a forum and posted all of the codes. Even now, The Apprentice and Dynamite Dux on the Amiga have the most risky easter eggs I have ever seen and yet; no one really ever talks about them. Anyway, HBG hasn't posted on his twitter or YT since 2018 and I am going to sound fucking horrible right now; but I remember he was going through surgery or something at the time and I get the feeling he may have passed away, but I'm too nervous to check. All I can say though is that his channel was underrated and he was the first disabled KZreadr I knew and it was really inspiring to see. Anyway, sorry I just needed to get this out of my system. Pardon me if someone already mentioned it, but the lewd cheat for that Naughty Dog made Sega Genesis game *was* in magazines back in the day. I think I read aboit it in Game Players, and that it eventually made its way into Tips & Tricks. I also vaguely recall it being *after* Crash Bandicoot had released. Could be my memory playing tricks on me, but it could just be it was found at a point where no one really cared. Nobody was playing Sega CD in 1995? Lunar: Eternal Blue, Challenge from the Darkside, and Earthworm Jim Special Edition were all a great way to celebrate the system finally becoming affordable to the general public. I'll admit, Wild Woody did make it feel like a very dead platform, however. If memory serves, there were two more instances of nudity in Sega's 2d games. But I'll need to check to make certain. (Challenge from the Darkside 's ticket seller at the theater briefly exposes a nipple when shotgun blasting you apart? That's a lovely criticism of censorship priorities if true. The other was male nudity in 3 Dirty Dwarves.) But nothing was as bad (?) as Nintendo including women's nipples in the Kid Icarus instruction book. People were so shocked and horrified that they immediately forgot about the horrifying sight until the internet reminded them how funny it was. No, wait - worse than that is every single game in the mid-90's to early 2000's that got a T rating when including naked succubus pixels and implied...well, everything. How did that happen? Why is it instantly rated M or higher when you move it to polygons instead?

@@st1ka Well...the PS4 did well but the bar has now been moved. All eyes are squarely planted on the PS5's success. This reminds me of Sony circa PS2 to PS3. The PS2 won the 6th generation by a landslide but crazy Ken Kutaragi really hurt the PlayStation brand with his insanity. The PS3 spent its first 4 years trailing behind the Xbox 360. It took...I think it was 4 years before they removed Ken and I believe we just might be seeing history repeat itself again. Now, you could say the PS5 is outselling the Series X and you would be right but it's more complicated than that. Both machines are still selling out the second they go up for sale. Neither are languishing on store shelves making this race very hard to really call (plus it's way too early). The only thing we know is that Microsoft made and shipped less 9th generation consoles than Sony. When the market is finally level where will each company stand? I don't know for sure but the way Sony's been acting coupled with Microsoft's acquisitions...I don't know. Whatever it is it's sure to be interesting.

@@st1ka I could also be flat out wrong too. The one thing I can say is I love them both. We (fiancee and I) were among the lucky few to get both the Xbox Series X and PS5 *physical at launch from GameStop. I even got to wait in a physical line during the preorder phase for both. I didn't have to go online at all thank God.

The main last enemy boss in Miracle Warriors for the Sega Master System was a topless nude green female humanoid demon. I would change the tint on the tv to make it flesh colored lol. Parlour Games for the Sega Master System had hostesses dressed like Playboy Bunnies. In an Amiga game called The Kristal, if you left your character facing away for awhile, he would eventually pull his pants down showing his butt.

@@st1ka Ah, then you'll want to check out The Space Adventure Cobra on the Sega CD. There's some alien bar scene in there where you see a dancer who, if it wasn't for certain coloring choices used, you would think was topless. I have to wonder if this scene might have been tweaked from the Japanese version but I don't know. Even if it wasn't, it leaves very little to the imagination. It seems there's also a shower scene of one of the ladies somewhere in the game which I forgot about. Since the game in based on the manga/anime it goes without saying there is some interesting attire for the women though out.

I remember the rings of power code being published in gamepro. I also remember them covering a dungeon RPG i think in the same issue where when you defeat an enemy, her clothes strip off and she becomes loyal to you. I can't remember the name of the game.

@@st1ka i don't even remember which system it was on, but i think it was a jp only game (i seem to think it was snes? 16 or maybe early 32 bit era at least. In the 90's) But i seem to remember a page or two dedicated to describing the game. It seems like the internet archives have pdf copies of all the issues of GamePro if you want to look through and try to find it. I am pretty sure it's an issue that dedicated a decent portion of the magazine to codes unlocking nude content like the rings of power. I'd look myself, but don't have access to a pc atm while I'm providing hospice care.

I remember my friends coming over with this SNES game that had (if I'm not wrong) a bunch of random mini games on it, and one of the games showed this large image of an ecchi naked anime girl as a prize if you won the game. I can't remember much else, but us kids were giggling by that weirdness. XD
