It was refreshing to hear another knitter admit to all the considerations and angst of choosing the right pattern for the right yarn! I am not alone!

I needed a break from KZread, but now I watch your video, it's very nice (&informative) to listen to your plans and thought proces behind them. I really like planning my knits myself. 🤗 (I think I like the last pattern most!)

You brought up so many good points! Thank you for this video! Even though I am not planning to get that yarn, it was helpful for thinking about yarn in my stash with a similar weight and fiber composition. 😊

Hi, I just wanted to let you know a bit more about Noro yarn. I have not knitted with the yarn you have, but have knit with many many other Noro yarns. They are all sort of thick and thin. Also I haven’t bought any real recently but quite often you will find knots in the yarn as well. So, that being said, first of all, you keep looking at the yarn in the skein and you haven’t even tried knitting a swatch to see how the fabric will lay. So knit some swatches. And the other thing I was going to add is that you don’t have to do a purl or reverse stockinette sweater. Just knit in stockinette. 😊

I look horrible with 10 inches of ease either. 3 to 4 inches is plenty

The easiest way I find to calculate yarn requirements when there are two strands held together is to work out the requirement for just one. Eg with the Maude tee, size 1 requires 200g (4x50g) of Sunday (235m), so it requires 940 meters (235 x 4) in total of a dk weight. Also with folded hems/cuffs, maybe you could knit the inside (after folding) with a different yarn that meets gauge to save yarn, since it won’t be visible? It was so interesting hearing about how you were narrowing down your pattern plans for this yarn - I can’t wait to see what you end up making with it!

Thank you for the calculation! Always good to know how other knitters figure things out :)
