@@Jlind9335 Sure. But I don't like to get into stuff without at least cursory knowledge. That's a good way to waste a whole lot of money. lol And the point of the video was you can learn wherever you're at in life -- homestead or not. It's a good way to pass the time and get further in your end goal.

Great video Julie! I love these tips. We are now on a larger property about as far in the “country” as you can get but we used to live in town and I wish I had prepared more! In town is where I started learning to cook from scratch and garden and I am thankful I started those when I did! You also brought up a few points that I plan to add this year while we are getting our home and homestead built.

Oh, that's awesome. I know we all wish we'd have done more, but it sounds like you at least started which is great. I'm talking to myself as much as anyone else... I have started just in the last couple of years to take advantage of our "yard" to try gardening. It's definitely a journey.

I have slowly been honing and adding to me own personal repertoire of homesteading skills and love sharing them with others. I already rock backyard city chickens and I love them so thanks for putting them on the list. 🐔 This was a really neat video to watch, thanks for putting it together.

Oh, awesome!! I just recently had a win after years of fighting our city council.. we finally got backyard chickens legalized in our tiny rural town. So, I hope to add them at some point soon, too. You're welcome thanks so much for stopping by!
