Oh, Jesus... Justine, you are THE BEST; "...my locker looked as if I had killed teddy bears." !!!!!!!
Your videos make me see how a fashion designer is close to my life and open the door to the world of design by showing how a designer sees this world. So much thanks.
Your videos are soo well thought through! Every piece of information is precise. That shows, your respectful attitude towards wievers, by respecting both our time and intelect. Thank you Justine:)
I just worked as an assistant stylist on a shoot for Interview Magazine!!! To hear you mention them as one of your favourites really makes me proud. Love you Justine! x
A thousand thanks for the book choice especially the fashionpedia and the art of manipulating fabric.. It's exactly what i am searching for.. Thank you!! Good luck

Excellent, as always, Justine. You offer us the perfect combination of style and substance. Very grateful for your videos.

Bonjour from Singapore. I've been binge watching your videos. It's always so informative and you are a joy to watch!
Merci Justine! J'adore tes vidéos!!!
I stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago and have been following it/you ever since. I have to say, you are already one of my favorite fashion channels. I recently saw the documentary "The True Cost" (definitely a must see for everyone, even if not involved in the fashion industry. I am sure you've seen it) and realized how tired I am of the endless hauls and piles of new clothes here on You Tube. Keep up the great work, teaching people what real sustainable fashion is! Greetings from Cologne
I love watching your videos. Thank you for making them. You are inspiring and genuine:)

Merci!! I really enjoy and apreciate the way you structure and deliver your videos. They are informative, enjoyable, amusing and well thought out. I can't quite put my finger on how to describe it but I have quite much Virgo in me and like to study things before I hop into a project so that my energy and the way I go about it is as efficient as possible. Something about your videos really pleases this part of me :D I will be adding several of these books to my wish list!
I love a good fashion book. Thank you for this video!

I really like "How to Dress for Success" by Edith Head (1967), and "Orchids on Your Budget: Or Live Smartly on What You Have", by Marjorie Hillis (1937), which has a great chapter on capsule wardrobing before capsule wardrobes was a thing. I find them very inspiring, even though I dress in modern clothes.

Thank you Justine for sharing those book Ideas. I've got three from 1029 and one from the 1980's. They are great for looking at fashion from a time past. Thank you for the book Ideas.
Thank u so much Justin for this big information . Love u Justin 😘😘😘😘
Thank you so much for this.
You are simply amazing!! 😍😍
The ads in magazines are my favourite part too Justine! Since my first Seventeen magazine when I was 12, it was the ads that attracted my attention - not knowing how styled they were, I felt it gave me the 'real' girl experience.
Loved this video.
I am brand new to your channel, but stumbled upon it, and am delighted! I looked at the books you were showing, and over the years, I had constructed such myself. Not nearly as nice. Because I couldn't find the one book that had the things that I wanted. I photocopied many books and magazines, and put the pages together myself so that I had it for reference. I absolutely delighted in what you showed us!

"How to be parisian" was how i discovered your channel :) one of your videos was recommended under one i watched with Caroline de maigret after reading the book and looking for french style videos. i also love Garance Dore's book "Love, Style, Life". and I'm very happy i discovered your channel 😊
Hi, Justine! Thank you for the suggestions, I now really want the Fashionpedia!:D And I must agree on the Fabric Manipulation book - it's a great recource for inspiration. I also have a few on my own suggestions, like a a book called Clothing Technology by a German publisher Lehrmittel. It is not an easy book and quite "dry", however, for a designer working in the industry it's a must! It has everything anyone could think of: a thorough descriptions of fibers (it even describes burning tests for each one!), fabrics (thoroughly explained how they are woven, knitted, different types of knits and wovens and everything is illustrated), types of seams with standard markings, not to mention sewing machines, dyeing pocesses, illustrated dictionary of clothing, a little bit of history of fashion...basically anything! Another one I would highly recommend is Fabric for Fashion by a publisher Laurence King. It is great for those still learning about different fabrics because you can actually touch them as the book has swatches in it.

+Raminta Razgutė I own the book named "clothing technology" but it's in German so I didn't want to recommend it here - didn't think it might also exist in English 😅. Definitely a good one for the industry.

Hi Justine! I'm a new subscriber and loving your videos! I'm really enjoying "How She Wears It" (The Ultimate Insider's Guide to Revealing Your Personal Style) by Dallas Shaw. It's got tons of photos and illustrations but serves more as an overall snapshot of all the components that make up one's style - as you said, a perfect book with a cup of tea. Thank you for all your insightful videos! xox Erin
As a book lover in general, I really enjoyed seeing your suggestions! Thank you for sharing. :) As a bit of playful, whimsical inspiration, I love the little book Style by Kate Spade.
