My boat broke down in the middle of a Louisiana swamp during a shakedown run back in the 80's when I was a young man in the middle of summer. I did not bring many supplies (Thought I was going to be gone for only a couple of hours at the most). It took me 2 days to walk out /swim out. My only knife was a stockman. I whittled an edge on a stout three-foot branch as a weed whacker, carried some gas in a coke can for bug deterrent at night, had a lighter and 2 packs of cigarettes. The only tool I really wish I had was a machete.

Oh wow! Tons of cool stuff! I absolutely love the Valhalla Axe. Classical shape blade. The Navajo Bush Knife is a beauty with a gorgeous sheath! Outstanding designs all 8 of them.

Condor is taking the market by storm! Quality and affordable and I love them.

Very cool blades. I especially like the Alan Kay Kukri. That thing is wicked.

That Valhalla axe is sweet and I'm not even an axe guy. Would love to see it in a camp hatchet form.

They changed the name to from Navajo to Huron. I messaged Condor on facebook and they said it wouldnt be available till April.

i didn't think budget knives cost almost $100. the cheepest knife they showed was almost $60. the little woods wise. i know there are way more expensive knives, but these don't qualify as budget to me. am i wrong? help me understand.

+Randy Tyler Hi Randy... look at "street price" once these knives start shipping. The prices that are on the Condor website and mentioned in the video are MSRP. Even so... I would consider a good budget knife in the sub-$100 price category. But price is relative to each individual and what they can afford.

Randy Tyler your totally correct. $100 isnt a budget knife at all. for me, $25-$50 is all I want to pay for something im going to take out and play with. especially play rough with. and let's not fool ourselves. we can spin it all we want but for the vast majority of us, the outdoors is a hobby. it's recreation. in other words, play time.

I agree they're kind of breaching out of the 'budget' range I'd say. Getting around these prices gets you into the territory of Ontario, Beckers, ESEE, middle/higher end Cold Steel, etc. Definitely not knives I'd classify as 'budget'. High value maybe, but not low cost. The Cold Steel kukri or Mora knives for $20-$25 is budget. I'm not knocking their new prices per se, just noting it. I think the Condors are still worth these prices, and probably always have been, but when they were trying to get into the market zone they were selling them pretty cheap, now the price is rising. I think the quality and consistency has also risen a lot too though so I don't think they're a bad investment. I paid around $40 for my Hudson Bay over 5 years ago and it's still my go-to camping knife, I've put more abuse on it than anything I've owned and I'm pretty active in the outdoors. More recently I got the Swamp Romper which is a perfect hiking, hunting, and camping knife (so, all-around tasks).

Love the navajo knife! I was sold as soon as I saw the blade shape, but when I saw the sheath I knew I had to have it. Are my eyes fooling me or does it have a leather tab on top like there primitive bush knife, for carrying under the belt instead of on a beltloop? Either way looks like its going to be a great knife!

The shovel and Viking axe are also made by Cold Steel and I am sure they are more economical.

Kris Zimmerman if it takes you 5 hours to reprofile/sharpen an edge and to do a little work on fitting the head more tightly.... Your comments make a lot more sense now. You are much more their target market.

I'm looking for a knife you did a video on at shot show I believe. It's a bushcraft knife with a bowdrill socket in the handle and also has a flat spot on the spine near the tip for batoning. I've always wanted one but can't remember the name. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

Not sure Epic and Condor are Two words that work well together. For the most part they are 1075 HC Steel blades that do not hold their edges well and Condor has poor quality control. I will admit that their new 1095 steel knife has promise and i'm glad to see them working towards a higher quality product but they still need to get their quality issues under control.

The Makara, Navajo and the neck knife really caught my eye. But he didn't show the knife that he has in his mouth.

Alas... unfortunately none of the Amazon links worked for the knives/machete referenced. Nor do they come up if I go into Amazon directly under Condor and browse through the offerings. Even putting in the name 'primitive sequoia', 'makara machete', 'Navaho knife' within the Amazon Condor brand...nada. So I suspect they aren't quite ready to sell them yet... OR... there's something funky going on. Anyway... any ides when they may be available on Amazon. Even the suggested sellers on the Condor website don't have any of these listed yet. Curious, that is...? All the VERY BEST! p.s BTW - love the jungle trip videos. Brings back some memories of training in Panama - a lonnnnnng time ago. 😎

If you take a friction fit axe and also put in a set screw such as the cold steel and condor Viking axes. It increases the durability. And decreases the chance if the axe head sliding off over Time. Now that being said. The vahalla axe serious isn't for heavy wood chopping. It's designed for combat/ light chopping. And if my ass in on the line. I want every opportunity to fight. The set screw is just giving that extra chance.

Is it just me or do the runes on the Valhalla make no sense? most of them don't even seem to be correct runes, they're either part of one or just kind of oddballs.

dont perticularly like any of those new designs.

Could your camera person take a film course and learn basic camera angles and how to keep the subject in frame! Also are both of you guys perpetually intoxicated. It seems every time I see Joe Flowers or Ultimate Survival dude in a video , you both seem blasted and stoned! So did you guys attend the Cheech and Chong school of film making?

I cringed so hard at a knife designer pronouncing Bowie as bow-ee it's supposed to be pronounced boo-ee. Anyone who makes or designs knives should know that.

for a channel pretty much dedicated to blades, how he passes handles the knives is pretty cringe. Good job CONDOR kt dont come sharp.

I hate when a channel uses a thumbnail that has products in it that are not in the actual video. I'd consider that CLICKBAIT and is an immoral tactic if intentionally done.

What ended up happening is that we shot 2 videos of Condor Gear... back to back... one with Joe and one with Matt Graham... we were crunched for time and I needed a photo for this video... Joe and I grabbed a few knives off the table and I wasn't paying attention enough to think about the knives in THIS video... so he ended up with the wrong one in his mouth... Which is actually in the other video... Mistake was unintentional.
