7 Day 2024 Roar Trip, but it's actually a goat catch n cook
Mid April Tasman sets off for a good week long roar hunt, with high hopes and a packful of food. Unfortunately low deer numbers, but still had a great time out there, stumbling across a tasty goat, numerous sheep and a few cool stags just across the river on the private side 😂. Don't worry, we'll get onto the stags one day! ...unless?
Thanks for watching!

You amaze me with your various adventures (on both sea and land) and your seemingly casual approach to the often challenging situations you face. Without doubt your videos are always entertaining! It's also quite obvious the enjoyment you get from the adventures is far more important than any 'trophies' caught/shot. Keep them coming, they're so enjoyable.

Thanks so much! I'm glad that the focus on the adventure comes across, shooting the biggest baddest animal is definitely not much of a priority 😆. Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it 😁
Packing the meat grinder status level: legendary
loving the vid.... not getting the trophy doesn't detract from the story for me... the adventure is the key. Well done on an amazing and beautifully filmed journey.... thanks from the deep south....

That's awesome, thanks for the feedback! It's much appreciated 😁. Glad it was still an enjoyable vid without much roaring action 😂. Cheers mate 🤙
Beast bro mean kai to man awesome
70klm?????😱. You serious Tas?????? 70Klm????? I told you before you must be fit and you humbly & modestly dispensed with a polite comment & embarrassment? I love your videos because they are entertaining, informative, and your down to earth approach on land and when you venture into sea. Its all about the hunt for food. Thanks for doing these Tas. Just be careful & keep safe.🙏I only wish I could join you on the occassional venture - Purely to gobble up fresh seafood and chomp on Fresh Red Meat😋

10km per day isn't too bad 😆 be a pretty leisurely pace on a formed trail in any case! Thanks so much I really appreciate it, I'm glad you're enjoying the vids 😊. I love eating 😂. Planning to keep as safe as can be! Cheers mate 😁
Your a machine! And with the mincer and scales love it! Keep it up👍

😂 I'd fully recommend the scooter 😂. Thanks Ian! Haha 4.45 was definitely without the heavy backpack on! Haha a sheep was very tempting, but I already had that goat in the bag, next time! Also I'd decided if I were to shoot El Fattus (the stag), it would suck having to carry him plus another deer out 😂 Cheers mate, glad you enjoyed 😁
Those lines on the hillside are odd, and what a mystical look with the cloud coming down, and then being above it. That looked epic. When you see another hunter far away, have you ever thought about firing your gun randomly to say "hi, but go away, I'm here, this is my spot." The valley's looked epic, though perhaps less so when you have to go up and down and up up up. 100% agree with you when you said there is no place you're rather be. It's just nice to be self reliant, with just enough challenge that you don't cry, so that you feel like you've achieved something intrepid, which you seem to do every video. Definitely could have watched part 1, 2 and 3 of this five day hike, rather than all at once. Thanks for all the work, hiking, shooting and editing.

That first campsite was epic with the clouds! Haha it was certainly tempting to wave my jacket around so he knew I was there 😂. Might've been misunderstood though 😂. It was such a pretty walk! Definitely a good challenge, though a couple more deer would've been appreciated 😂. I was considering making a two part thing, but decided there wasn't quite enough action to justify it 😂 thanks Paul 😁
That scooter is a very novel idea Tas looks like it works ok, another epic walk your a machine ☝☝☝

Works pretty well actually! Bit hard to keep on the narrow winding foot trail sometimes, but a good bit faster and easier 😆. Cheers mate, thanks for watching!

Thanks Johnny (hope that's right haha), yeah I see you went in that way too 😂 I was walking in and out on the 14th and 20th. Awesome to see you get those nice salmon 🤤. Cheers mate 🤙
Good stuff brother, you covered some proper miles! The lack of animals is likely due to heli rural flying every man and his dog into that area. Plus it had received some waro pre roar. At least you had some mean feeds at night!!

Thanks Ben, it was a big walk! That's interesting info, was a little put out with the low numbers, but still some epic mountains, and yeah haha certainly didn't go hungry! Was a nice weeks break from it all too 😁. Funny, I had a chat to that hunter I pointed out on the last day, he'd just done a day trip over from the saddle and he'd bumped into you earlier that day 🤣 hope you've been having some good trips! Cheers bro 🤙

Yeah bro that 1st climb is no joke, respect, especially with all that weight you're carrying! Oh classic, I wonder if that hunter has got me confused with someone else cause I haven't been to that area during the roar? Yeah brother had a couple ripper trips. Just got back from a truly epic 9 day solo fiordland trip!

@bendb_wildaboutnz haha thanks Ben, it was a big push to the tops 😂. Huh that's funny, he seemed pretty confident it was you 😂 maybe I got the timeline wrong or he mistook you, he said there was a 10 pointer up those ways when he saw you (or not-you 😂) 🤔. Awesome bro, looking forward to seeing some footage if you make a vid of em 😁

Haha yeah I think it's mistaken identity cause I rarely bump into hunters and when I do, I remember. Maybe us brown/asain hunters all look the same haha. Got some mean footage and it will be featured in my next film. Keep up the awesome work bro!!
