    Nah, when I was broke there are cheap eats. All sweets Indian Buffet , Hawkers Delight, Budgies Burritos, Dollar Bag Veggie Grocies at Donalds.

    Surprised there were no sushi places or Indian restaurants. Vancouver has a LARGE Asian population, so as a Californian it was similar to seeing a ton of Mexican restaurants and Latin food in Cali.

    Leah Moon I’ve been to japa dog, marutama ramen, and snowy village (the shaved ice place) the japa dog is like 5 dollars for one, ramen is about 12 dollars for one bowl and they are quite filling, and snowy village is 11 dollars for one shaved ice bowl but they are HUGE I’m not kidding I had to share with 4 friends last time, the bowls are about the size of a basketball

    I used to live in Van city about 2 years ago for over 3 years but some of the ones are very touristy and we don’t eat it much. But it’s nice to see Vancouver again through video. Please do Orlando Florida one. Because lots of people travel here.

    Wow this video makes it look like a bourgie hell-hole. You need to get out of the downtown core. Try Skylight Diner or The Dime on commercial drive, or Bons off Broadway if you're looking for some real value. Supergreat pizza at joyce skytrain station is amazing and there are seas of cheap sushi places once you're out into east van. Kingsway in general is loaded with great food.

    I was born and raised here and this is my first time learning about most of these places (the only ones listed I knew about already were Japadog, because it's old and quite big - it has US locations - and Snowy Village because it was quite popular among the student body when I was in high school). I would like to add to the list another ramen place that's among the cheaper ones that are still good. I can't remember the name but it's part of a Japanese chain (IIRC) and it's on Robson near the demolition site of the old Landmark hotel. Prices are around 10-15 CAD and the food is better than many more expensive places. The only catch is that they kind of have a time-limit system in place.

    There's a pretty large Asian population in Vancouver though, like latin food in Cali it's very common. With that said, I'm surprised there were no Indian places

    @@Peecamarke There are so many in Vancouver and surrounding cities. It's a shame they didn't feature any. They also have Italian food, French food, Moroccan food!!! (I'm Moroccan too this makes me so happy). They basically have everything, but generally what was shown in the video is the most popular types of places, especially downtown.

    I’m from Vancouver and nothing is cheap except for McDonald’s ( I mean by saying McDonald’s is cheap I mean it by being sarcastic) I live in Vancouver and nothing’s cheap not even food, water, place to stay, and clothing. SO DONT COME FOR ME ANYMORE

    McDonald's used to cost less than 10$, but now it's more than that every time I buy a meal. Im not paying more than $10 for freaking McDonald's smh

    If u want another good desert place to go to in Vancouver try Off The Grid Waffles it sells waffle milkshakes, pizzas, etc and it’s super affordable and great for taking pictures😁

    for cheap food non asian food i suggest x-site grill. If you like greek, the place my family goes to a lot is My Greek Taverna, i love their roast lamb. Cockney Kings is pretty good, they have all you can eat on some weekdays, its a fish a chip place. Straight outta brooklyn isnt too bad either, thats a pizza place

    @@C.O.920 When people say vancouver, they mean the lower mainland, i mean the airport is called Vancouver international airport, but thats in Richmond . Also, all those places are still open, the only place that closed is the downtown x-site grill, there are 2 other x-site restaurants.

    Keto Caveman Cafe on 508 Abbott St. in downtown: $20 for a 12 oz New York Steak. $7.99 Large Chicken or Beef Burrito on now. Not to mention Italian Mama lasagna for about $12.

    My fiancée and I tried the Fritz place and it wasn’t that great, after that disappointment the day after we went to Whistler and saw a place called Zogs, decided to try the poutine over there and OMG it was so delicious that we order a couple more to take home, if you happen to go to Whistler give this place a try

    John Li Is that true? I’m a NYC Native and was thinking of going to Toronto for maybe a weekend trip since it’s just 8 hours away. Being that I grew up in NYC, I admit to have my standards a little too high in terms of things to do locally. Would Toronto be a good fit?

    John Li By things to do I mean like bars, restaurants, parks, museums, etc very close to the hotel. Like within walking distance.

    Went to a pub down by Davie st called Shamrock Alley the beers were great the food was phenomenal and I enjoyed the atmosphere

    There's a chance I'm going to Vancouver next year. My parents are talking about going to Alaska and Vancouver. If they do then my brother and I would fly out to meet them in Vancouver. I hope that happens because I would love to go.
