Driving an E46 M3 from 2004. E46 320D is a pretty common car so people mistake mine for one. One day, I was walking with a girl. A Peugeot 206cc (the convertible one) drives past us and she tells me what a nice car that is and how cool it looks and is. I tell her it's nothing special, it's small with a small engine and not that good build quality and she asks me "What car do you drive?" So I answer "A BMW M3" and I show her in a parking lot how it looks like. "The convertible one is much cooler than yours, yours is boring" Believe me, every single cell in my body wanted to strangle her with that fucking Peugeot.

picolo2022 Games Lotus is NOT focused on acceleration times, they are more focused on handling. I own a Delorean, which was equipped with Lotus suspension, and that thing ran laps around Camaro's and Mustangs out on the track. However, my Delorean, with a 175 horse engine, was barely able to do 13's in the quarter. Lotus is a handling company, not for maximum acceleration or top speed. Yes, I know the video says it only has 130 horse, but that is the 4 cylinder engine, which I got the 6 cylinder.

My dad has a 1985 Honda CRX and its kinda slow,but it feels fast and makes you smile when your in the passenger seat!

GT86 is fun for car girls and guys, with the rear wheel drive it drifts well plus you can do modifications to give it more power, the main problem is it's pretty juicy for such a small engine. It's defiantly be a good track car

I recently bought a 335i at the same time my friend bought an R32. Both of us are avid car guys and have our own reasons for buying, and are respectfully satisfied. However, when we told our other non car mates what we bought, their initial expectation was that I'd get 'smoked'. A quick run between the two had their jaws open quite quickly, even though his sounds better.

I have a lancer ES, my friend keep mistaking its evo, I try to tell them but they all think all lancer are evo

Any V6 pony car (Mustang, Camaro, Challenger) They are quick cars, but nowhere near as fast as their V8 counterparts.

Not 100% sure what that last comment means but basically the Subaru BRZ is extremely close to the Scion FRS in specs and design. Non car people think they are the same cars because they look the same and have close to the same name. They both have almost the same horse power and body so car people always debate between the BRZ and FRS. Personally, I prefer the BRZ because it sounds better, and looks better. Plus Subaru is a great brand

I don't build my car, I bought it brand new, It's still stock yet fine by me, I'm contented with around 150hp and 190Nm of torque, I still doesn't have plans of making her horse power higher, I only change tires if me and my car need to, I love sports cars and super cars but I am not dreaming of owning some, Though, I appreciate the beauty of cars history, I love the engineering, I take care of my car, I maintain her well, always checking her tires, wheels, engine, oils, coolant, baterry, steering, brakes, belts, lights, leaks (if there's any), washer, wipers, tools, accessories, gas, cleanliness, hoses, horn, safety, and everything in between, I love my car, and the best feeling is when I drive her. So, can I still be called a car guy?

In my country most popular "fast" cars is: Nissan Skyline with rb20 engine - 130-155 hp Toyota Mark II/Chaser/Cresta with diesel engine - 94 hp, or 1g engine - 140 hp Non-car guys think all Skylines fast like GTR version, and all Mark II fast like Tourer V version, but isnt.

Great White Rabbit rb20det - 210hp. But I said about rb20e - 130hp, and rb20de - 155hp. Jz series have different engines. 1jz-ge - 180hp, 2jz-ge - 220hp, 1jz-gte and 2jz-gte - 280hp(its max permitted power in japan in 20 century). And i said about 1g-fe and 2l-te engines - 80% of mark ii on roads have these engines.

I like the prowler in terms of looks. Plymouth would have sold a lot of them had they stuck a V8 under the hood. It wouldn’t have to particularly fast but it would have lended itself to the modding culture perfectly at the time.

My 1.6L Mini S came out of the factory at 181hp at the crank... After enough money and work (not getting really stupid and still with factory turbo) it was dyno'd at 237hp at the wheel.... the front wheels, to the point I had to instal a limited slip dif.

i never knew that mind warehouse was a car person.

In the Toyota 86's defense, it was created as an homage to the AE86, a car that was underpowered but handled great, which forced you to really push it to the limit when racing them. The BRZ is underpowered, but handles great. And in tracks where you can't take advantage of pure power, it starts to really shine. Its a race car, not a drag car, after all!

The delorean was very underpowered, even for its time with less than 150 bhp and was supposed to be a supercar. Many supercars during that time had about 300 bhp. It's still a cool car, but not good.

Well, by changing launch speed, it technically does make it faster. As any trackable timed distance will be improved because the initial grip through the torque stages is improved, meaning the car can accelerate faster. if they put the GTI motor i it, it might have been faster.

In the UK the MR2 came in 2 models when it was introduced. The Sport & the GT. The sport had the engine out of the Carina & the GT had the engine out of the Celica GT. They may have been quicker that the Mk 1 they replaced but they just didnt handle as well!

Yeah the Evora has a supercharged camry from the factory.. MR2s werent made with V6s but theres a kit for it :P

The main issue with Car guys is not realizing that in the end it's only a means of transport. The main issue with Non-Car guys is not realizing that it can expanded into a piece of art with different interpretations.

thx man, I would also like to point out two things: You don't need to label yourself as a Car guy, because that is other people's work, not yours. God dammit, stop forcing it just to prove your (apparently) amazing knowledge and just enjoy even if that means "losing" the discussion. Why do you need to destroy your friend's argument, prius owner, who still struggles to pronounce Nurburgring? And, second thing, not every Car guy is the same. You will find people who are not into engineering or mechanics but take pleasure from the driving itself; people that gets excited with every new pininfarina design; who dreams about the advance of modern tachnologies; Industry, brands, production, racing, history. That's why you don't only like cars, but also aspects related to them. A car can be seen with different eyes.

Cause it looks fast. The BRZ is an excellent car, and has brilliant handling, but not a speedy car. A Genesis coupe is much better, but cost way more.

My one buddys brother has a bright yellow Dodge Challenger GT with a V6, and oh my god he never shuts up about it talking about how fast it is, sure that v6 does scoot but he doesnt quite understand the whole idea of it, until he got shown up by a heavily modified and supercharged 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix.

The Drunken Basterd modded truck? A**hole, my dad and i practically took this junkyard truck and rebuilt the entire F****** truck, and we made it reliable for me. Don't judge someone based on their desire to have aftermarket lights that will make the truck look better because the head/tail lights on my truck look like dog S***. And you know what, mind your own F****** bussiness because IT'S MY TRUCK, NOT YOURS. I CAN DO WHATEVER THE H*** I WANT TO IT but because of the model year and how unpopular it was there's NOTHING out there that would make the exterior lighting of my specific model year truck look much better. Trucks can be lifted, though there comes a point where the owner has taken it too far, but my truck is NOT LIFTED! And just for saying something like you did on my post is basically telling me you're the stereotypical import driver that turns a good car into an extremely ugly P.O.S RICER that always loses to trucks because your car is a P.O.S so then you go onto youtube and nitpick every person that says something about aftermarket parts for THEIR trucks for whatever reason, but you probably don't care about that, you probably just hate pickup truck drivers. And don't even try to B***S*** me because if you really were a pickup truck driver you wouldn't have said exactly what you did in your assumtion that I'm a stereotypical truck sociopath that lifts my truck farther than it should be and mods the H*** out of it and in cases of diesel trucks roals coal on pedestrians and P.O.S ricers.

My neighbor has a subie brz with 800 hp (I heard it had that much but not sure). I have no idea how he got it up that high. What I do know is he has michelin tires, brembo brakes, a carbon fibre hood, a mid level spoiler, and carbon fibre tires. He always takes it out every Saturday but idk where he goes. And yet here I am sitting with my 500 hp Lancer X evo.
