I agree with don't chase that paycheck. Everytime I did that I lasted less then a year because the job made me miserable. I actually work at Target and it's one of the worst jobs I have ever had. I would rather live in a van if it means I will have peace. The salary ain't worth it.

Finding passion is tough these days, all companies care about anymore are productivity sheets and MS Excel spreadsheets which are boring as heck.

I'm so thankful for this video! I was scared to go in the business field because of how much maths it will require and almost thought about doing anything else because I hate maths. My new session is starting and this time I'm going to give my heart and soul into practicing what I'm bad at not (hate). I really appreciate your efforts on making such valuable content for us. I'm not gonna sit cry and let my fear win anymore!

My fear is paralyzing me. I’m being held hostage instead of moving forward.

Love your program Ken! I am a self-employed senior caregiver for the past 16 years. I have a natural gift in caring for others, but this is not my passion. The “hook” as a caregiver is the money. I work for wealthy clients, choose my clients, my schedule, my services, negotiate my pay rate. There is a lot of freedom in that but there is also a price to be paid for not fully utilizing my gifts and talents in a way that brings me joy. I have extensive experience in professional theater with excellent reviews, but walked off the stage because I found I could not earn a living in my neck of the woods. At age 67, I will have both of my hips replaced over the next few months. This downtime will afford me the opportunity to review, reassess, repurpose my life moving forward. I started Social Security last year but it’s not enough to live on even though I have reduced expenses to the extent that I even moved into a studio apartment a few months ago. With new hips I will get my life back and no longer be in excruciating pain. This will open my world up to new opportunities. Everything’s coming up roses.

The paycheck feels nice at first but eventually the drug runs out as you raise your consumption to mask the negative feelings and you require an even bigger paycheck. It's a hamster wheel

I always picked jobs most money but realized that being happy at a job is more important than money. Of course having enough to make living. But I would pick 60k job be happy over 100k job be miserable

I’m curious. Don’t chase a paycheck, but what if the paycheck leads you to less debt? Like I’m struggling to look for my passionate path because I’m too busy looking for money to pay off my debt so that I can chase my passion later rather than it be hindered by my debt. I’m the baby steps, they say deliver pizza to reach your goal. What if you have to do that on a larger scale because you have so much debt and it will take time?

But if everyone only did work that they were passionate about, how would all the crap work get done? 💩
