3 weeks ago I was here, looking for guidance and advice because I liked a guy who I kept on asking myself if he was into me because he would not communicate with me constantly but he asked me on a date and took me on that date and held my hand whatsoever but now I am in a relationship with someone who checks on me constantly and sends me his working schedule and tells me what's more important to me besides him(I.e family and my studies) and I am happy and moved on from the guy who barely checked on me .

That "hiding you" piece, is key!! As an ex cheater, I wasn't going into public or posting pics w/my side dude but he showed me off to EVERYBODY he knew. Yes he KNEW he was the side dude, didn't like it, but dealt w/it because his emotions got wrapped up in it. We ALWAYS THINK WE CAN DEAL W/BEING THE SIDE DUDE/CHICK UNTIL feelings get involved. So from the jump if you're a side piece, KNOW that there's certain things he's NOT doing. If you DON'T KNOW, let him NOT showing you off BE THE SIGN YOU AIN'T THE MAIN ONE!

If you choose to be a secret that's on you, but when a man manipulates you into believing he's emotionally available, only to find out he was keeping you a secret from his ex." It's crazy to think that's off tho. Or so I'm told. Bet, if it were the other way around he'd be just as bewildered. I don't move like that, but all types of people, "are out here on the move like that."

The teachings in this video was the first time I saw successful relationships / marriages like ceramics. May not look like much in the beginning, but end up being and looking like fine works of art. What you teach helps me see successful relationships / marriages this way. Encouraging and being encouraged as partners to become the best version of ourselves, appreciating what we lovingly receive from our man (and give), and valuing ourselves by knowing our worth. All definitely worth the thought, time and effort for a great relationship, and for ourselves. I appreciate who I am and who I am becoming because of your teachings. Thank you Stephan!

My crush will be my supervisor as of Monday (due to my promotion). We had been flirting since Jan but never made a move to go out (different departments). Then I was up for promotion in March so we just never had time to pursue it. Im happy I'll be spending more time with him, but now things are so different. I already passed on another job opportunity to him so we wouldn't be in the same chain of command. Lol It's literally so heartbreaking to feel like someone is your soul mate but you can't do anything about it. 😢

My emotional abuse began with a guy I met in Uni last year & he was lethally sexy, Zulu, very masculine, confident & he lured me in with kind acts then started to abuse me emotionally. Then this year, I recently met a guy, we're not dating, we're just good study buddies & he does everything for me without me even asking for it. That's when I learnt how a real man is supposed to treat a woman. And we might never date, but I appreciate everything he does for me. He buys me food, reassures that I can solve this mathematical problem, always accompanies me to my residence. Everything I was begging the previous guy to do, he does it effortlessly.

My husband of 16 years has never put me down on looks, or stuff that could truly wreck a person. He DOES let it show that he is annoyed at how much I talk with my hands or over dramatize imitating a voice of someone else. That's not bad I guess in comparison of what he could be doing. Otherwise, he supports my many projects that I never finish, or career decisions. So this video is really helping me understand more about the male mind. To further add, I had a boyfriend before him who seemed to enjoy saying lil things like, omg, i thought when I touched your hair it would be soft and untangled, but it's like a horse tail where I might not be able to get my hand out! Stuff like that. He didn't last long...

As to the molding...such good points. I'm thinking of someone right now that doesn't communicate at the level I'd like. Yet...this has been who he is the whole time I've known him.... he has the ability to communicate well when he feels the need but he often doesn't see where the other person could use, say, updates on the situation. Things like "I'm still working on it, no headway yet" instead of pure silence while he figures it out. That said. I also am thinking of someone who communicates SO much detail (and so little that I actually care about) that it wastes my time and effort and I'm constantly trying to ferret out the real message from all the word salad. Not just at times....frequently. And doesn't get to the point until he's taken you down a minimum of 10 rabbit holes first. So, with that first person, part of the reason I like him is his independent thought, his consideration of others' time, etc. And I like him for HIM, initially, even though I knew about the lack of words sometimes. There are times I wish he'd just update me yeah. But I have to say, when I briefly think these thoughts, I quickly try to remember how grateful I am for him the way he is. When I have a real problem this man can be my peace, because he knows how to maintain peace and shut his mouth rather than running it ad infinitum. The other guy... I get to the point I'm exhausted and nauseated listening to him go on and on and on and on and.... Like me right now 🙂 Anyhow. I just find that it helps to remember I liked him for HIM...appreciate the good side of the sometimes irritating qualities he has that are so ingrained that they really won't change (because there IS a good side), and remember that he was enough when I accepted him the way he was...nothing's changed, so why has my assessment of the situation? That helps me ground in what I liked in the first place and let go of the wanting to change him. After all, I don't want to change him do I? Make him into someone he's not...then I'd lose respect for him wouldn't I? I think probably so.... Best not to try to change people, for sure. Either direction. (That said, I do speak up when I need an update and gently ask for one...)

Wow, the cultural piece sang to me. I’m exploring a new connection who is widower. He’s met a lot of my friends, but not my family. I haven’t met his friends or family except his eldest son by accident. He seems to be VERY tight with his family & in-laws family to the point his MiL stays with him when she’s in town & they’re going on a family trip next month. We’ve only been exploring this connecting for a few months, so I’m not expecting much (yet). I am curious how this would go as I’m of Caribbean/Japanese descent with a very small family & he’s Vietnamese with a HUGE extended family & HUGE extended family of his late wife. I’m definitely careful & patient since his children are involved. I don’t feel he’s “hiding” me, but feel it’s too soon to have a conversation or boundaries established. Stephan, I’d love to hear more on thoughts on this cultural topic if you will. Much appreciated. Love your channel! 💛

All the points are so valid and thanks a lot Stephan. I have a question though about that second to the last point: this man professes love and says he's in the relationship with me for marriage, yet for four years and no proposal. However, he runs and gives me the silent treatment for weeks and even months when we have an argument, or don't agree with his point, or when he crosses the line with me. Stephan, how can i deal with this silent treatment because it's ruining our relationship? And I always call first after his silence. We're both way above 50s.

@stephanspeaks ok so question: what you have been married to a person for 2 decades and during half of that time period didn’t value you, (according to your description in this video) but now that you are separated is starting to value you. Is she being naive to give that man another chance or is she allowing her trauma and ego keep her from having a healthy relationship with this man?

"He does not hide you" I know toxic fellas and chics that would show off their partners to family and friends. They ( family and friends) know this guy/ chic is the side piece but play along. They all know the main partner who eventually gets the ring😂😂😂. He/She shows you off is not a guaranty.

What a great topic😊 because last night he called just to ask me how am i feeling when we are having a heated discursion and how he contributed by talking harsh words that led to me crying and he then notice he is hurting my feeling and i admited my feelings and then he apologised as he comforted me, and culmed me down then i found it easy to forgive him.

What about a situation where he’s discreet because he’s has reconciled with his ex, but durning a break you meet him & caught in emotional entanglement? But you & him remain in contact with each other. Only realizing their mutual feelings involved. So, maybe hard pull back. Which it becomes complicated.

I disagree with some of the things regarding changing people. I beleive when we meet the right person both people in the relationship will choose to be better because the other person inapired us. It will automatically be synergistic. Not because one partner encouraged other. If it's the right person, encouragement will not be necessary.
