I unlocked marrabbio by accident, i remember doing my first run with the death and at some point i noticed the pies, and since i was pretty much running mindlessly through the stage to get gold fevers, at some point i noticed that shadow and ended up killing him by accident, since i thought it was like a grim reaper and was just inmortal.

Kind of same, honestly! I was on the first stage, trying Sigma Queen for the first time, and once I upgraded her weapon and did the cool space animation, I realized the pies, and thought they were also a part of the character. Then I found shadow man and went pew pew and there's that. I tried the shadow character later and it's pretty cool!

if you wanna level up till the game breaks, get o sole with ONLY his weapon on the map with the plants and flowers and build for projectile speed, duration, crown for xp, projectile number etc, the dog heals the plans and gain xp, the bigger his weapon is the more xp you get, at a point you dont even need to move to level up constantly

fun fact: if you heal the flower enough, you can actually unlock a secret character!

Ohhhh it just hit me, the Marabillo shadow character might be a reference to the Portrait of Ruin secret boss battle against Richter Belmonts shadow memory. And one of the funniest things is that hes weak to the Pie skill due to psychological damage

Like most things in _Vampire Survivors,_ Boon Marrabbio is a miserable pile of -secrets- _references._ He's partially a reference to _Mortal Kombat_ character Noob Saibot, as both are shadow versions of existing characters and Boon is Noob spelled backwards. Which is interesting, as Noob Saibot comes from MK creators Ed Boon and John Tobias last names spelled backwards. So Boon Marrabbio actually flips the name back again. Marrabbio comes from Giuliano Marrabbio, the main character's name in the Italian localisation of '80s anime: _Ai Shite Naito._ The cheat code to unlock Boon Marrabbio in VS is "fettinepanate" (fried cutlets), which is a reference to an Italian meme from the series. Marrabbio's ID in the game code is NEO, as his slow projectiles are reminiscent of the iconic bullet-time sequences from _The Matrix._ I wouldn't be surprised if he further references _Portrait of Ruin_ as well, given how heavily _Vampire Survivors_ takes inspiration from Castlevania as a whole.

There is a legitimate way to become immortal which I will just say it involves an arcana that focuses on armor and taking damage. If you figure it out you can make it so no amount of mobs can kill you on any curse %, even on inverse mode with maxed out charm. Only Red or White Death can kill you. I ended up with 84k hp on a run by 30 mins, but I see varying amounts depending on my loadouts from 3k to 50k hp generally. At some point you kill bosses just running into them.

you can be immortal for real by playing missingo, when entering the selection character menu he roll his stats. So roll a few times until it has minus hp, upon entering the game you will see that you can't be killed. Even red death can't do nothing to you !

I just bought this game a couple of hours ago (12/19/2023/10pm Tokyo time) and already tipping my hat for feeling the beautiful and addictive simplicity of a game that evokes memories of NHL`94. The fact that the creators tipped their hat towards old school made me only tip my hat more back towards them. My guess is that you never appreciated the Konami Code when it was relevant. There are three generations already that will never experience what that cheat did for us kids at the time. If you did...IF you did, you would have your hat tipped and never say "duhh" to someone who most likely falls into one of those three generations. Just look at the top three replies: simple, informative, non-disparaging.

Talking about cheat codes brings me so much nostalgia, when I was a kid not many people would just have the internet in their homes and this kid used to sale cheat codes for all the most popular games where he hand wrote out each sheet for games and it was like 20p per sheet, everyone would buy them at lunch in school. He probably sales aimbots these days 😂

Didn't know any of these dude, hell I didn't even know that there were such mechanics in the game lol. So suffices to say that I very much appreciate it, would love more vids like that. Going to subscribe!

Slow projectile speed is broken, people just don't realize it yet

I tried the key code to unlock mortacio and the 2800 gold and it doesn't work? I'm a relatively new player so not sure what I need.

Noticed in some of your play throughs it shows the passive you have under your character. I've only seen it a few times in your videos and no where else, is there a way to enable that?

Scorej-oni means Thunderous-Oni, it may also function as a joke for your joke's purpose, but it describes exactly what the enemy does, which is throw lightning bolts.

Scorej-oni's secret is "find the source of the thunderous noise on the tiny bridge", or something close, I can't check but it's basically that, and the 'cheat code spell' to unlock him is 'idontthinkthatsthunder' , which further puts emphasis on his name being an Italian fart pun.

I don't know, I use an arcana the Mad Groove and Got all the Pies and I didn't even Noticed Marrabio🤔

Using *Empty Tome* I was able to reduce the cooldown of my fingers cooldown low enough to type *Pet* every 0.05 second I became immoral😅 Now I have fingers so trained that I can do all sorts of immoral things

The main menu codes wont work, but the type in codes work. Just go to the „secrets“ screen and click on the bottom right corner the „ABC“, then u can type in all the codes that u can google :)

many words inside this game are into an italian spelled in little diff words but with a real memaing. For ex. 6:40 secret chara scorej-oni it s basically Oni, jap word +Scorej. In italian we have scorreggioni that means someone fart often. Scorreggia = fart Scorreggione= someone farts continuously ( big farts )
