I recently had this issue, and I wish I would’ve watched your video first, but I’ve essentially did exactly what you explained to do I replaced all 16 pushrods in my truck because once in a while, coming up to the stop sign, I would have what sounded like a bent pushrod through my intake. 9/16 were slightly warped. Replaced all of them, brand new. Local ford dealer parts. started the truck and it had a really bad whoosing out of the intake.. took all my pushrods back out. . This time 15/16 were slightly bent… replaced them all again same result with the intake sounded like a bad misfire. Pulled each injector clip off with the truck running and found out that number eight had little to no compression ( from the stuck lifter or something not closing the valve) because when I pulled the plug for the injector, the engine made no difference in runability. Pulled out the intake pushrod on that cylinder and it was slightly bent again, but when I pulled it, I heard something like a spring pop. I’m wondering if I had tweaked a lifter Put a used straight push rod in that spot started up and the truck is running fine. It’s just weird because every once in a while coming up to a stop sign or something I will get that same noise but it goes away. kzread.infowun_3MFbsVA?si=17OWwySWMPhdY2D2

Question for you, my truck just started white smoke today, isn't constant but more than less lol I got home to watch your vid. reasons why white smoke. I started to take off turbo pipes and looking around they looked clean but then I noticed the 2 wire connector (sensor) that connects into spider next to hpop line that goes across the engine. I took a pic but won't me dload it. Anyways the wires are frayed look like they're almost touching each other? When I replaced the hpop lines it was pretty tight against plug wires. I disconnected it put electrical tape between the two exposed wires, brought plug around the top-of-the-line to plug it in,( I don't know why I didn't do that in first place?). Went to start the truck after plugging back in and there's no white smoke after starting. I haven't driven it yet because I have a leak somewhere in one of my power steering lines and I want to fix/find that first but before I fix that put every back together would you think that could be the cause or know what that sensor is just in case wires break? Thanks Tim Took her for spin. still white smoke billows when I give her fuel but no smoke after letting off and in idle? Power seems the same fuel pressure Lil bit lower 61 usually around upper 60's? After couple revvings, one time I thought I smelled oil but did it again and it didn't?

Would be nice to see a video about under valve cover wiring harness issues. To go along with this. Check both harness and rocker arms at the same time.

What’s your take on heads with a fire ring grooved into them?

What are the 1/8 npt fuel port fittings at the heads supposed to be made of? All I can find is aluminum 1/8 to an fittings.

Clint, i left my 97 f350 running one night with headlights on for roughly a hour... went to go up the road the odometer needle in cluster started jumping around then the digital miles went blank and would not shift past 2nd. Second time its did it. But only after head lights on for extended time. Could the cluster/dash bulb cause the psom to over heat

I just got another 2002 F350 7.3. 214k strong running, clean and taken care of. When running is has the normal tick tick tick. When the engine gets running temp it gets a loud tick tick tick noise. That noise comes and goes. Now I'm wondering if it is a noisy rocker... Anyone have thoughts about this? Thank you!

I think there is a lotta engines out there misdiagnosed overlooking the valve train

I have seen other guys say that it’s important when you were removing the push rods and the rockers to mark which cylinder they came out of so they can reinstall the same way, I didn’t notice if you said to do that or not, would you suggest that?

Its standard training to do as you stated yet on the 7.3 I've reinstalled them after inspection in any order and have never had a issue So if they look good when removed relocation is no issue

Loosen all of them, and use a jack next to each one to raise it up and replace one at a time. You’ll have to disconnect intake and Inter cooler piping
