    Cyclops anti theft device is a must if you want to stop the thieves from stealing your truck. RiffRaff diesel FRX fuel crossover kit and the high pressure oil crossover line will make your motor run smoother and quieter than ever.

    @@DieselNDirt_yep, I have both the fuel rail crossover and the oil rail crossover and other 7.3 owners have told me mine is the smoothest running 7.3 they have ever heard. I also got rid of the the little plunger and spring that is in the fuel filter housing, inside the fuel stem, it only exists to prevent fuel from spraying in your face while changing the fuel filter, but you would have to have someone turn the key while you where under the hood for that to happen.

    Nice clean Truck! Next week I will begin to start the process of fixing up my stolen (but recovered) F350 with the 6.0. Great Video, just earned a sub! Really like your headlights, where did you get them and what is the make and model?

    Good video. Did you make any modifications to run with the tuner? Exhaust, etc. I am interested in getting the PHP hydra but I have an all stock truck and like to keep it that way. Just curious if everything is running well for yours since it looks mainly stock as well. Thanks

  • @DieselNDirt_

    The only serious modification I have made to this truck other than the mods mentioned in this video is deleting the muffler. Other than that, this truck is completely stock. Injectors, transmission, and turbo (although the stock turbo is very worn out) I did unplug the vacuum line going to the waste gate to build boost a little faster, but I wouldn’t recommend that as I’m now experiencing turbo surge from over-boosting. Or at least I assume that’s the cause. Other than that, with regular maintenance this truck runs just fine every single day. I also believe in the philosophy of keeping these trucks mostly stock mainly for parts availability and reliability.

    @@DieselNDirt_ thank you so much! Is the tuner on every day that you drive? If so, what level tune do you daily drive it with? I purchased the Riffraff muffler delete so it sounds like we have a similar set up. Thanks again for the info, it gives me more confidence to get the tuner! 👍

    @@r3efelipeyes, the tuner is on at all times. I always run my truck in the hottest tune (140hp extreme) and get the best fuel economy as long as I drive with a light foot. Although I have been driving it in stock tune for now because of my turbo surging issue. No transmission issues and no injector issues. However, for cold starts in the winter I always start the truck in stock tune. For whatever reason, it always starts better in stock. Just a friendly tip

    Also remover the red vacuum line from behind the Turbo on the waste gate and just plug it on the intercooler hose clamp.

    Hey quick question what is the color code on that because I have a 99 7.3 and the previous owner painted it black and I would like to change the color back to factory or the color of your truck because that is a pretty blue

  • @DieselNDirt_

    @DieselNDirt_

    5 ай бұрын

    I’m unfortunately not sure what this color code is. I had the truck repainted (pretty cheaply and not perfectly but oh well) because it had been peeling all over. The closest color code I know of is called “Ford Blue Jeans” which is damn close to this and looks really good to me. Thank you though and good luck!

    And for longevity Sinister Diesel has a oil bypass filter kit.

  • @cavemanjoe79

    @@DieselNDirt_ a normal full flow oil filter filters about 20 microns as the oil passes through, while a bypass oil filter simply takes a little bit of the oil and filters it down to two microns at a much slower rate. So the bypass filter is a second oil filter that can get rid of contaminants that the regular filter allow to pass through. Most kits are universal and require some fabrication to install, while the kit from Sinister Diesel comes with all the hardware, hoses, fittings, and the filter. Just above where the 7.3 oil filter spins on there is a pressure port where the kit taps into the feed, then you go into a filter block, and the return line screws into the engine block just above the oil pan as a return.

    The truck had already been driven for over an hour that day. If the truck is up to temperature I’ll always crank it right up and never think twice. If it’s the beginning of the day or a cold start, I always cycle the plugs and let them preheat properly.
