as much as ppl hate on the lil 305 i think its a decent engine. Had one that I built it went 13.30 in a 78 olds cutlass.. No low end but mid range/top end was great.

man that sounds good, what all did you do to it? 7K on a 305 is unreal, im wanting to do some performance mods to my 1991 camaro, with a bone stock 305tbi, if i could get around 325hp id be happy, its rated at 170hp stock, only has 34,000 miles on it now, but needs more throttel

With some good head work, a nice cam, and ported intake manifold you could probably get close to that 300hp. But it would be easier to make over 300 if u went with a carburetor. That's basically what you see in this video.

I decked the surfaces, ported /reshaped the chambers, intake & exhaust runners, put good over sized valves in, custom valve seat angle grind, updraded newer style seals, also upgraded the springs and retainers. You could say they're pretty worked over LOL, but they are factory ascast heads. If you take a look back through my videos, I show all of this work being done! 👍
