Good point , real world testing covers you. I'm still envious I've got to get me a cheapish lathe n make my own tools etc

my old man always said...to be a good mechanic is to have a lathe and know how to use it ;-)

make sure you get a good centre lathe
Ive got a 6r garbox issue for you on mazda bt50. Its a gearbox with a oneway cluth and doesnt have the TCM in the lead frame. The issue is, when in gear iether D or R, the vehicle just wants to keep going, unlike any other ford or mazda similar, where you accelerate or give gas for it to move. We have to hold back by applying the brakes and or hand brakes. Whilst holding it back from moving, the engine smokes under load and the revs drop
