69 theHunter: Call of The Wild Tips | Beginner’s Guide 2024

Ойындар

theHunter: Call of The Wild can be a difficult video game to get started with. You need to track your target animal without accidentally scaring it; You need to use the right ammunition type with the correct weapon to maximize your money and experience gain, and get the best trophy badge or medal for your animals' trophy rating. Not to mention other factors that play into scaring the animal much easier, such as your movement, visibility, noise the animal's difficulty, wind direction and even pure luck! In this video I will teach you the basics I've learned on my journey. I've only been playing theHunter: Call of the wild for around 70 hours, so if I've gotten any of the tips wrong, let us know in the comment section below. Also, comment your best tips for new players I haven't covered in this video.

    Good video! Quick point on #33. After you shoot an animal, wait a while and check the map for hunting pressure to see if the shot was a kill or not.

    Btw dogs also have their own skill tree also as your leveling them up me personally I use a bloodhound idk how the retrievers work but there’s one skill where they can scare off defending animals from running into you or charging at you temporarily buying you some time to reload your gun or heal yourself when you need that time so just keep that in mind also

    In case anyone’s reading this thread, even before you unlock the binoculars that show distance, you can just place markers on top of animals, which give you an approximate distance. This way you can pin point how fast you should be moving to not scare the animal. I can’t remember which tip it was in the video.

    I've played a bit then stopped and just now got back into it abd am completely lost. But I do remember I never took a shot more than 150 that was my max range where I could accurately hit. One of my first black bear was a non vital hit with the ranger .243 I tracked it like half way across Layton lakes from the bottom to the too if the map to some swampy area and found it dead in the reeds.

    Yea the learning curve is steep. I like stealth games but I learned this games require a LARGE amount of patience. Couldn't find much of a tutorial for what I wanted expalined(mainly the distance in what animal hear you between running, sprinting and walking) but instead of giving up I fought through the frustration and decided to learn how to do it through trial and error...I fumbled a rabbit and a coyote BUT I was able to get a turkey, deer and moose on within my 3rd day of playing...closest was able to sneak was 40m...did I fumble the shot ABSOLUTLY..there's a reason people say aim for viral organ and not the head lol But so far I'm loving the tips in the video thank you soo much

    @@lem5689 Well Done! Knowing the ranges and for instance how to prey call carnivores helps a lot, but it’s also luck sometimes. You could be sitting in a bush for 15m calling a fox when in reality it left, or crawling after a herd of sheep even though they are travelling in the opposite direction.

    Well made, informative and sometimes pretty funny. Very good diction, some juicy well-placed profanity. I liked it. But, I have to say you're wrong about the scent issue. Damn that matters when missions have you sneaking up close to top predators.

  • @2Siders

    @2Siders

    Thanks for the kind comments! I’ll try to do more research on the wind/scent mechanics because I don’t actually know how much it plays into scaring an animal. For instance is an animal 20% more likely to scare with perfect wind from you towards the animal? 50% more? I wonder. Your scent probably more important than I thought, however, I still feel like it’s kind of a bothersome mechanic instead of a well-thought out one. I just constantly slap on the anti-scent spray and that’s it. Not sure what more they could do with wind, but the spray makes it kind of bothersome in a paradoxical way.

    Thanks very much! Funnily enough I calculated that it probably took more than 100h and not 70 or 80h like I said in the video, because I worked on it for over 3 weeks, and on average more than 4 hours every single day. (4.5 hours over around 24 days = 108, and btw not counting just playing the game for fun) I know the video’s not perfect and it sounds like it’s too much time for what it’s worth, but editing especially takes a lot of time, not to mention writing, doing research, rewriting, specific footage gathering etc.

    In the early 20s (so not quite halfway through). For future content, if you avoid swearing you'll go a lot farther. Despite popular belief most people actually don't care to hear strong language and I certainly won't watch a youtuber with my kids who swears like a sailor (so I won't watch at all). For reference, Scarecrow has 150k subs and doesn't even say "god," he always says "gosh" ... Probably because he has a wife and kid.

    Thanks for commenting. I actually swear very often and if this video wasn't scripted, there would probably be more swears in it than the whole movie of Good Will Hunting I don't want to sacrifice my authenticity for the sake of views, but I understand how someone might not want to watch such content.

    @@2Siders so change instead of being fake. Any well paying respectable job isn't going to be okay with a ton of swearing, and in and out of work you will be more respected if you choose not to swear. I used to swear like a sailor who just stubbed his toe till my kid was born and I decided to stop. I wear a watch on my left wrist. I hate having things on my right wrist. So everytime I swore, I'd move my watch to my right wrist and set a timer for an hour. If I swore again I'd reset the timer. Took about a week to stop swearing entirely but I kept doing the watch thing for a little over a month. I'm still me, but now I'm a slightly more presentable, respectable me and it has helped me in a few important areas of my life. Anyway. Don't mean to come off preachy. I will finish your video soon
