    That's why for years, I've always, and I mean always, trusted Z Reviews. You have NEVER reviewed stuff in relation to price. If it's a cheap headphone that's as good as $500 headphones, you'd say it. And your impressions, based on my real life testing, are spot on. A lot of them out there would say, "These are the best under xxx dollars" just to justify and massage a much more expensive purchase, even their own. No, it's just not true. No headphone on planet Earth is actually worth more than $300, all things considered - sound, build, even features like LDAC and ANC. So I'm seriously considering getting these now. Damn you, Zeos! (Thank you!)

    Tried it on, WAY MORE comfortable than any "GAMING" headphones/set i had ( low end tier at least, my first midrange is cooler master mh751) and my mh751 disappoints me in terms of build quality, the typical hinge problem and inability to change the earpads PROPERLY. and the JT1 isnt heavy on the head. I have a feeling the next surge is coming for headphones just like keyboards did.

    Just got mine today and wooooooooow! These headphones sound incredible! I would describe the sound as the treble, airiness, and sound stage of a traditional open-back headphone but with the bass of a well tuned closed-back. Build quality is really nice, super comfy, and only $70?? This for sure going to go up in price at least to $100+ at some point, even then it's super worth it.

    I've been playing bass for 42 years now and for the first time used these to practice sans amp. These headphones are absolutely incredible for practicing bass guitar. Had them for about 6 weeks now and yesterday was the first time I tried them in this capacity. That low end is solid and holds really well. All the other frequencies are there as well but that bass is solid without any weird noise. Impressive! So if there are any fellow bass players looking for an amazing set of bass practice headphones....check these out!!! I have a bunch of headphones now (yeah thanks Z...haha) and these are without a doubt the best for that application.

    Only have had these for a few days and I really am liking them. Break in not close. That being said I can already tell that your review was spot on. Definitely like being in the first few rows of a show. Nice addition to have for little money. That bass i had to dial back a few db for my liking, but after that it is really nice! Little creaky here and there occasionally but not nearly as much as the SHP500. I was expecting it to be narrower in soundstage but am pleasantly surprised and think it seems just right for me. Some headphones like the Fidelio X3 I feel are a bit to wide and I seem to lose that centre sweet spot often. Not with these.

    I previously bought the Takstar Pro 82 as, on a budget, everyone recommending them in the price range. They're still perfect condition. Seen these Fiio headphones, bundled with a 4.4mm balanced cable, for 399rmb in China ($55usd) Would you say that the Fiio JT1 is better than the Pro 82, enough to buy them and gift my Takstar headphones to someone who will appreciate them and send them on their journey?

    I have SHP9500s & like them. From published response curves JT1 bass appears more like SHP9600s? I bought closeout ($40) SHP9600s & hated them so much, with their bloated no note bass & missing midrange, that I returned them.

    I preordered these before Z dropped this video, and I can’t tell you enough how absolutely bananas they sound. It’s unreal the price of these and the sound that comes out of them, it just doesn’t make sense. I have a Shanling H5 with them and these things f’n rip something fierce! Played at high volumes and gain up, these things shake and vibrate like subs on your ears…it’s ridiculous. An absolute must buy for anyone and everyone. Great job on these and thank you honestly Fiio for making a superb headphone at a killer price 👍🏼🙏🏼👏🏼

    Been using my Philips Fidelio X2 for 7 years now, mostly for gaming and music via Spotify through a EVO 4 interface. I had to replace the earpads and now the headband is peeling.. was looking at either just getting a pair of X2HR's since I liked them so much, or some X3's now they're around £100... Just watched your review and am now considering trying these... what would you recommend or anyone else? X2HR, X3 or these JT1's?

  • @HeinSmit1

    Have X2HR and X3, love them both, X3 uses some proprietary cable and the one out of the box is massively long, so be wary of that. Both are comfortable and sound amazing though

  • @arnold90

    Bought the X2HR for gaming and music on my PC. 4 years later, the pads and headband are wearing out just like yours. I was considering swapping them with Dekoni suede pads, but with shipping to EU, it's nearly what I dropped for the headphones (90€ on Amazon) and I personally found the OEM pads very comfortable. Don't get me wrong, the X2HRs are great but at that price, I might as well snag a new set to play around with, which I ended up doing and ordered the JT1 last night

  • @arnold90

    @arnold90

    Just an update - X2HR/X2 is the absolute winner as far as comfort and build quality goes, hands down no competition.. JT1 feels terribly cheap(and they actually are in 2024 prices) compared to X2HR, cheap plastic, cheap strap, metal band is rough, not impressing. As far as sound goes(after 12 hours of burn in), the graphs dont lie. JT1 with its V shaped signature and closed back design gives it more meat in the base but it doesn't feel very responsive, sometimes it feels a little muddy. Definitely not an upgrade over the X2HR (obviously not in the same price bracket), would recommend to anyone looking for their 1st pair of cans.

    Picked those up because I've been using wired Logitech G Pro X for the past year or so and I hate them. Recommended by a friend and they seem amazing especially for the price, I don't see why I'd go for a 150-200 pair when these look well built too. With a nice iFi DAC I hope it'll serve me for a few years at least.
