' "End This War" ' lyrics
Maybe I was scared, shaken from the unknown.
Take my hand, to the “perfect storm” of a situation.
Take the questionnaire.
See if people care.
Toss it in the air.
Keep in step.
Here we go again.
I’m asking for a friend.
Watch until the end.
I’m out of step.
Try and stop me.
Take my hand home.
Sad songs, until the end.
We make-believe it all, until the end.
Which does not make it wrong, again, my stranger.
I’ll take comfort in a month of Sundays.
Satisfaction and expectations.
Send your paycheck to the current fashion.
I know, but hear me out…
Let’s never go back.
I sing along, until the end.
Now, overcome myself.
Until we try, we’ll never know.
So laissez-faire about my life…
Until the end.

Three sturdy grunts, and then he blossoms into a pretty chorus, and only gives you one of them so you've gotta listen to the song 7 times to get your fix. Josh keeps growing in ways that make me want to hear what's next. '68 is a great vehicle for that.

Nobody can write a song like Josh Scogin. Groovy, fun, serious, and heavy all at the same time.

@@ericchin739 I’ve been playing guitar since I was six! Even when this guy was in the chariot I thought the same thing. I love metal. Big progressive metal guy, I love tool. Nothing about this is technical or melodic, it doesn’t make me nod my head to the beat, the vocals aren’t good, the lyrics aren’t poetic like a lot of his other stuff, it’s boring as hell lol. I could record this on GarageBand with an epiphone sg and an amp modeler in two hours.

@billiemack64 My bad, you're a music snob then lol "If I can play it, it's not good" 🤣😂🤣 Who says music has to be melodic and technical?! The fact that you said you love metal and then listed Tool as an example tells me a lot. The ONLY technical part of Tool is the drums - and if Danny himself were not in the band telling them how to play along.... they would be shit. And if you can't nod your head to the beat of '68 songs.... I very much question your ability to actually feel music. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

@@ericchin739 I’m giving you examples of the reasons why I don’t like it and why I think it’s the epitome of record anything and these idiots will listen lol. It’s just noise bro. Sorry I don’t like your favorite band 😂or think Josh Scogin or whatever is a prophet and musical genius. I think he and his music are mediocre and the attention it garners reflects that sentiment.

@billiemack64 I just dont think its for you, this is the complete opposite of something like progressive metal, a lot closer to punk
