My first car was an Austin Devon which I purchased second hand in 1965 for the princely sum of R90! I had the cylinders rebored and new pistons and rings fitted, and it lasted for many years, with absolutely no problems at all! Great motor car history-maker!

Nicely kept sir, I know its very difficult to maintain such cars. lot of dedication is needed. My dad too had the same car but the Austin died just because we couldn't find the parts for it. Sad but thankyou sir, watching the video i recollected my childhood days.

It's nice to see someone keeping their A40 in running condition and in every day service. I have a gray 51 it's still all original, but it's a Canadian model and it has a different dashboard. That one looks like the deluxe model.

I like very much this car bcs in this car indicator is side like bird wings when I was n small I heard about this indicator

My 1st car was a 1949 Devon. Your seats look in great condition. Would liked to have heard the engine start and run. Yours has a lot of extras - flashers, gauges etc. Nice to see it.
