don't really much car about the bond association with the original BMW Z3, i have always just liked the look of them, and still do. they were on my short list of two (leather) seater, manuals with at least six-cylinder engines when i recently began collecting a few cars. i didn't end up buying one only because there were so few available (none?) that could satisfy my aesthetic and mechanical requirements. most were over 20 years old and needed body, interior and mechanical work. i would still love to have one. and in the iconic metallic blue with tan top and five spoked wheels.

i have perfect a 1999 roadster cosmosschwarz metallic & Orginal BMW e36 M3 Wheels 17" Style 24 Motorsport ...perfect too drive & corners ;D

Maybe the next generation of Bond will return to a nameplate that's brutal in its power delivery yet subtle enough to charm any willing girl the moment she sits into the leather-lined seats....favored by Ian Fleming, admired by the Brits, and restored to dominance by the Germans: Bentley. Now whether he'll use the Continental GT with hideaway panels or something more classic & elegant, its up to HMSS & MI6 to decide.

How does it compare to a Z4 please with a similar engine. I find the Z3 is more nice looking and not as boxy

These “exact copies” were not exact. The wheels are different from the movie car, but they do look better, I’ll give them that.

Ah but they WEREN'T exact copies. They were SIMILAR, but slightly different. Like mine, they had incorrect wheels, but also had a chrome widescreen trim instead of black. Close, but not quite "exact".

I've own mine for about 4 years 1997 Z3 roadster V6. For a BMW it's been a really reliable car and cheep, With 110k miles. I've never had an issue. Besides an oil leak that was fixed for 130$. But that's a common issue with BMWs from all the Plastic used.
