high altitude resorts like les arc just have the most amazing views as your are above all the other peaks and can see 100’s of kilometres into the distance it really feels like you are in the middle of the himalayas climbing a rocky icy peak

@@Alexskiing I was in Les Arcs for a couple of days just before covid. I really enjoyed it, but the queue for the cable car to get to the Aguille Rouge was far too big both times we passed it and wouldn’t have given us time to get back to La Plagne. I hope that some day I’m allowed back to France (or anywhere with snow for that matter) and will definitely be wanting to have a go at this! 🤞🏽

@@Alexskiing i watched your vid out of sheer sadness… was there last month and broke my left hip at the end of a stupid blue run, apparently because i missed a bump in the shade and was projected on my hip. Have a hip replacement now and need to reeducate my left leg during at least five months. Tough luck, I’m missing my skiweek in the Zillertal with my son. I am amazed by the risks you are taking on those hard ice-packed groomers. Watch out and stay safe.

Crazy how mellow the first part looks through the GoPro. That first section down from the ski lift is a lot steeper looking in real life! I visited Les Arcs during Easter and also did the top to bottom, but with wet spring snow combined with Sahara sand that made for very sticky snow that was hard to handle. I also took at wipeout mid-run at 70 km/h when I hit a soft and sticky spot :) My legs were tired and shaking already halfway down and I really had to struggle in the sticky wet conditions to make it all the way down in one go (without any other breaks than picking up the gopro and skis after the crash). Great job in making it all the way down at your speed, and in 12 minutes! Here's my video of my 15 minute run: kzread.info/dash/bejne/i3uCl6SdmLerZ5s.html

The top is a lot steeper in real life, the gopro does not do it justice! And of course this guy is shredding and making it look easy. I did this run in a blizzard with zero visibility and it was very difficult, my friend even lost a ski in deep snow, took us a good 15mins to find it and dig it out.
