I WANT my iem case to be heavy metal! For $2000 I better be able to use it for self-defense if need be.

hmm I would probably go for a pelican case then, but I found a lighter case to be enough for daily carry, not so much heavy transport

Hi Onkar, I no longer have the U12Ts, sound wise, they are suppose to sound the same because they have the same drivers. In reality, it comes down to the fitting. For me, with the A12T, the sealing is so much better than the U12T that the sub bass/bass sounds much better, I would say ~30% better. Treble wise, I would say they are comparable, with U12T probably ~5% better? because the A12ts sticks in to my ears so much that it feels that it becomes slightly darker and sound stage becomes a tad more intimate. Mids are fairly even on both end, crisp and neutral. I would say the biggest difference is the sound stage and the bass, but that really depends on the fitting I think.

After spending more time with them, do you recommend getting the A12t over the U12t if we are looking at getting either of these?

For me, definitely the a12ts, unless you decide to sell them at some point, the a12ts gonna be better in many ways

they are suppose to sound the same, but because the a12t goes in deeper and fits my ears a lot better, it sounds quite different, more bass and vocals gets much closer

@@kenccz6074 so they are exactly the same driver, any technical things, but the only different thing is the shell is making by your ear canals and your custom whole shell basically? If its like that, for example there is custom versions of QDC Anole VX, if i want to buy A12t and QDC Anole VX custom, the drivers are just the same but different shell you meaning?

@@ozunkeskin6919 yes, exact same drivers and specs, the other difference is that the acrylic material makes the custom around 20-30% lighter compare to the u12t. Also, resell value is something to think of. With cutoms, you can't really resell them for a good price.

@@ozunkeskin6919 yes, sp2000 should be plenty enoguh. The A12t ad u12ts cant really go wrong with any sources unlike some of the similar price range iems, only gets better with source like yours
