From my Vlog #61, this is how I created the hanging Spanish moss for my bathroom.
We bought 3 big bunches of Spanish Moss worth USD$7 at different times, removed the metal wires they came with and I had this idea to hang it on a branch that fallen from one of the big trees in my garden. It is easy to do but just the Spanish moss part takes patience and time. In all, it was done within a day, 8 hours of filming but definitely will be faster without filming.
Spanish moss is one of the easiest plants to care for and none has died in my care. Whatever you do, just don't hang Spanish moss on metal wire. Even the healthiest one under your meticulous care will eventually die due to metal poisoning.

This was really interesting! I'll be really curious to see how the potted one at the very end of the branch grows in the different location with freedom from the pot. As usual, comic relief at the end with the cats - I laughed when Pika nipped, and le Poo who was very interested. Thanks for including the whole scene outside your window starting at 4:21 through 4:37. Your sun-drenched area is so pretty, and I really liked the artistic distortion at 4:39. That was a nice touch.

Oh that spiky ball is made out of many spiky air plants knotted together with cheap wire by the nursery. I hated that they did that. They sold that with the spanish moss as a set. At that time, I wanted only the spanish moss, not the ball but there was no other option. So back home, I separated the ball from the spanish moss and propped it temporarily on the pot with no soil because it's an air plant, it doesn't need soil. I just didn't want it sitting on the countertop. In vlog 67 I separated all the spiky plants tied together to form the ball because it's not good to leave them tied to cheap wire that rust and poison the plant. Unfortunately, it was already dying by the time I had time to cut it all open. Inside, the wire was all rusty. I managed to save some of the spiky air plants but most of them just slowly died in the following months and the last one died this month, mar 2024. I couldn't save them because they were already poisoned by rust. Spiky air plants are not easy for me. But the spanish moss is very easy to care for. Thanks for watching! No, they are not afraid of sunlight, but indirect light is best. In the wild, they live draped on tree branches, and the tree leaves provide shade for the spanish moss. If it's under direct sunlight, it can dry out fast.

Нет, они не боятся солнечного света, но лучше всего непрямой свет. В дикой природе они живут на ветвях деревьев, а листья деревьев создают тень для испанского мха. Если он находится под прямыми солнечными лучами, он может быстро высохнуть.

Nice to know you bought them. You don't really need to fertilize them. But if you want to, you can fertilize them with orchid fertilizer or bromeliad fertilizer. Maybe once a month or once every two months. No need to fertilize too much or it can cause spanish moss to die. Hope this helps.

Приятно узнать, что вы их купили. Вам не обязательно их удобрять. Но если вы хотите, вы можете удобрить их удобрением для орхидей или удобрением для бромелии. Может быть, раз в месяц или раз в два месяца. Не нужно вносить слишком много удобрений, иначе испанский мох может погибнуть. Надеюсь это поможет.
