(62) Acrylic Pour Swipe Mixed Brands in Rainbow Colors Paper Towel Method with Sandra Lett 030718
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This was done on two 12"X16" canvases. I mixed all my colors 50/50 with Floetrol Latex based 1:1 ratio. I added water to get to a creamy consistency, then added several drops of treadmill lubricant (100% silicone) to each of the cups. I swiped with a damp paper towel.... I did not add any silicone to my white or black... I lightly coated my dry white canvases with a coat of white/floetrol mixture, then layered up my colors in broad bands...
I then added black/floetrol mixture at the top and swiped towards me. After these dry a minimum of 72 hours or more, I will seal with a high gloss varnish.

Base is White Artist Loft and Swipe is Black Artist Loft (no silicone in those)... The other colors were Liquitex Basics Deep Violet, Cadmium Red Deep, Orange, Quinacridone Magenta with a little Light Magenta added, Masters Touch Purple (lighter purple color) and Fine Touch Primary Yellow. Thanks!

Yea,...I'm hooked before the first drop hit the canvas. Been up 3 hours, drinking coffee and watching video's. All about mixing paints, the use of silicone.Which mediums work best for the effect I'm looking for. Colors for my pillow paint. How to make the cell's big or smaller. but how thin or thick I mix the paint's. Making sure the color I want to make show up needs to be thicker then the other paints I'm using. I'm just getting started. I have nothing but time on my hands. This should be my new game hangers. Remedy for my cabin Fever. May even sell one here, and there. LOL..

@@CarolynDenison I mix all colors the same. And I use OGX now instead of silicone. The only one that needs to be a bit thinner in consistency is the color you swipe with, in this case black (I just add a bit more water) OGX Nourishing + Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum, 4 Ounce www.amazon.com/dp/B000N758A2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_DNq9DbCXFCHTZ

Those are really cool. I like the two side by side. You do them almost identical and yet they are a little different! Thanks, too, for the comments re the thickness of paint and how that affects the outcome on the swipe. I need to get more canvases and practice swipes on smaller ones first. Swipes sound so simple, but they are not really. You can swipe and get few cells or swipe and get alot of cells. I imagine the silicone helps with cells. I have some silicone I misplaced and now I have some coconut milk hair oil and it is mainly dimethicone. I am also organizing my paint area so I find things!! Fun 😏
@SandraLett
6 жыл бұрын
Thank you Ruth! The coconut milk will work great... less is more... The thinner the paint the bigger the cells is what I just heard today on a video... She did 2-3 parts Floetrol to paint. Good luck!
Thank you so much ! Beautiful. Can't wait to try it.

@@SandraLett Just waiting for payday to buy some canvases, and I'll be ready to rock. I had to take an early retirement,and really have been looking for something I can do to occupy my time. Can't walk so good any more. I'm very creative, but became burned out with quilting, dream catchers, canning fruits, refinishing wood, and restoring furniture. This will be something that I should be able to pick up, and run with it. I have so many ideas running through my head,. All it took was just watching a few videos, that I already know this is what I been looking for. I saw a web site where people are selling their art work like this and are getting a loot for these type paintings. So, your inspiring people to try these beauties on for size. I'll let you know how I come along with it after I get rolling. I'm excited.

No añadí silicona a mi blanco o negro ...
