0:31 listen closely and try blocking out the melody/Kaito’s voice. It may be hard to hear for some people (unless you’re used to dissecting instrumentals and their different parts) but Miku’s singing a higher harmony. It’s easier to hear in this version than Cantarella’s grace edition (in that version, Miku’s voice is softer and well-blended with Kaito’s, so it can really be forgotten about or mistake as Kaito singing a harmony too). At 0:34, she echoes Kaito’s “toiki “ and “kanji reba” just slightly after he sings it, and it should be easy to hear that out. In the chorus at 0:41 you can hear her singing a harmony higher than Kaito’s melody, but with the same lyrics. Throughout the chorus she does this.

He knew exactly what was going on, but the whole scene was so twisted and cruel, so out of control; she was torn between the man she loved all her life, and the man she had come to love in another way. The part of her that loved Kaito was also aware that what he did had serious consequences. She feared for her life ... and in time ... Kaito finally paid the price for her sins. He died in battle, presumably with the help of the Len family, and his dark ambitions were put to an end. The Vocalgia was no longer powerful. However, Miku survived. since winking is a common and recurring expression in japanese animation/works, i don't find this very surprising. but yes he winked at miku. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Idk if the manga is completelly like the song, but i readed it and the story told that Kaito and Miku were siblings, (dunno if blood related or not). *SPOILERS* Anyways, kaito's dad was the lord of a house that was known for it's famous poison, Cantarella is the "name" of the poison that it's passed from the family head to the heir. What happend here is that Kaito's mother eloped, and so decided to take miku (or have her with another man). Kaito's mom knew what the family did, and so she exposed miku to a variety of posions so she could survive in the family's house. The thing is, Miku gains Kaito's trust when he tells her his poison collection and Miku doesn't get scared when she hears it (cuz everone else was like EW or AAAA y'know). So Kaito is like, k she kinda cool. Miku and Kaito grow together in the family house and start to develeop feelings for eachother without knowing. It comes the day where miku has to marry another family's head to unite the lands (?), Miku's fiancé comes to the house etc etc, Kaito starts to feel "bad" when he starts to see the preparations for the wedding and when that day comes, when miku was walking down the aisle (?) with her now husband, looks extremelly sad and hurt. That's when Kaito realises his feelings but cannot do anything. Miku goes to her now husband's house and slowly makes him fall in love (not intended), meanwhile, she sends letters to Kaito to make sure he and his father are doing well. It comes a day when Kaito's dad is extremelly ill, to the point of dying, so miku's husband offers her to go to the house to see him and stay there or stay with him. Miku chooses to stay in her original family's house since she now realises her feelings for Kaito. The contract is broken so now she stays with Kaito until she has to marry someone again. Kaito plans to poison her with Cantarella to always stay with her (Miku asked him that beetween marrying someone again or dying by Kaito's hands, she decides to do the last). Kaito poisons Miku, Miku doesn't die (bc she is inmune to poison) and so she becames "a walking dead" or "Cantarella". People outside the family were Kaito belongs, think that Miku is dead. In the end they both love eachother and live and are happy and all that lovely ever after. *Disclaimer*: this is the best i could explain the manga, also, forgive me for any spelling mistakes since english is not my mother language.

Entonces pasaron los años ... Miku maduró, y se mantuvo bastante hermosa, pero no importa cuánto tiempo haya pasado, todavía no podía olvidar al hermano oscuro que la amaba tan loca y desesperadamente, y a quien amaba a su vez.

After her guests trickled out, she returned to her room. She undressed; sleeping only in a shift. A man in disguise finished his visit, leaving a rose for his prey. Dusk changed to dawn, and the girl woke as the first rays filtered in through her open window. This morning, just as mornings before, she discovered the bait left for her. Laying next to her was a single rose. * * * As she walked down the hall, she heard a song coming from one of the many rooms. The door sat ajar, as if inviting her to enter. She peeked in.
