60532 ‘Blue Peter’ loaded test runs on the Severn Valley Railway
LNER A2 pacific 60532 ‘Blue Peter’ on the Severn Valley Railway undertaking loaded test runs.
The A2 recently returned to steam following overhaul at Crewe and was transported to the Severn Valley Railway to begin light engine test runs the week before. This week was the loaded test runs with the air braked Mk3s.
Filmed over 2 days I managed to get a few shots of 60532. My personal highlight being the climb up Hay Bridge from the 5mph slack at Sterns. Bonus footage of 4930 Hagley Hall and 75069.

That moments slip climbing away from Hay Bridge must have set a few hearts aflutter on the footplate, beautiful to see her out and about again.

Luke, Excellent coverage albeit the coaching stock looks a bit naff but that can't be helped. I was going out tomorrow to see it but the weather does not look favourable. Regards, John

Thanks John. If previous tests are anything to go by I’m guessing 60532 will return in the near future with appropriate stock. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for your video if you go out for it.
I can imagine this being a popular demand loco for galas, wont be surprised if it goes to NYMR given NYMR used to have it based there for a short time
