@@Zeno-Sama0111 - Hi greetings Sir. Glad to asking this question, to install a 3 KW On Grid Solar system it would cost around 1.20 Lakhs Ruppes and for a 5 KW it would be 2.85 Lakhs ruppes. This is an average estimation and may vary little more or less depends upon the the locations, type and quality of the products. But always suggesting to use Mono Perc panels. I have installed 5 KW on grid solar system at home and it costed me around 3.10 Lakhs because of my incline roofing top. The agency standard price was 2.85 Lakhs. Please feel free to ask me if you have any doubts regarding to the on or off grid solar system i am very happy to share my experiences and with you

If the Electrical vehicles gets high popularity, then KSEB will make a new rules that every body having this vehicle at home, have to install a new METER for its charging. The subsidy tariff of Electricity for domestic consumption , will not be applicable for vehicles.

@George Sam kutty, That's been predicted not just in India, but world over. Almost all governments earns more than 50% as tax ,of what you pay for petrol/diesel. That's a huge income which they would recoup by taxing electricity in future. They would wait till majority of cars become EV or till most car manufacturers stop producing ICE cars. For India, it would be in far future. However, you would see it very soon , in UK and EU where they would ban ICE by 2030 or so. By that time, EV owners would be spending the same for electricity , as they spend now for petrol/diesel and no gain would be made over "fuel cost". EVs do save on maintenance cost

@Argon David, The car wouldn't charge unless it's a "pure sine curve" output and is "grounded". Such generators are installed in roadside recovery charging vans. The usual domestic/commercial generators produce "modified sine curve" output, which the car's BMS(battery management system) would recognise and shuts itself down. There are devious ways to get around it, but may damage the battery and void the warranty

I have the same car Nexon ev. Purchased in mid June. Already 3000km over. I had installed solar in March itself. For July my electricity bill was Rs. 1200. Before it, April, May it was around Rs. 100-150,( before buying the car) with two ACs. Prior to installation of solar my electricity Bill was around Rs.5000-6000. ശരിയല്ല. രണ്ടു വർഷം കഴിയുമ്പോൾ ബാറ്ററി മാറ്റണം. വീണ്ടും ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ റേറ്റിൽ രണ്ടു ലക്ഷം ബാറ്ററിക്കു മുടക്കണം

@@new10techmalayalam വണ്ടിയുടെ വിലയും രണ്ടു വർഷം battery replacement എല്ലാം കണക്കു കൂട്ടിയാൽ ഇക്കാലത്തു EV ലാഭം അല്ല. 12 ലക്ഷത്തിനു കുറഞ്ഞത് 250 km കിട്ടുന്ന EV ഇറങ്ങിയാൽ petrol /deisel വണ്ടിയെക്കാൾ മെച്ചം ആകും. കാത്തിരിക്കുക ആയിരിക്കും നല്ലത് 😍

I am owner of TATA Nexon since March 2021. This vehicle is getting only 200 km mileage for one full charge. Where as TATA is advertised 300-350 km which is wrong. Because of this small mileage I am unable to drive for a long distance. This is the main disadvantage of this vehicle. Several time I made complaint, but no improvement in the mileage so far.

I think that more competition is required in this segment to bring down the price. If we look at current scenario, this machine is not going to reap much benefit in the long run unless the price of the car is reduced. But if u have enough money then go for it.
