A great video Teddy, it's great to spread the words and terms that us watch nerds didn't have to work out over time. A great nod also to the shout out figures who made changes to to the movement design options. George was ahead of his time in this respect given the precision required to make a co-axial caliber manually. It took a long time to productionise it. Thanks again Teddy.

Actually most dive 'count up' bezels can be used to count down too. If you need to count down, say 20 minutes, just align the 40 minute bezel marker with the minute hand. When the minute hand hits the 12 o'clock marker on the bezel, your 20 minutes are up. Teddy, I'm disappointed you didn't mention John Harrison! The man invented the accurate marine chronometer and opened the oceans to exploration and trade.

The one aspect of watches I find myself super opinionated on is hands. Seems like many are designed for looks over function (eg huge snowflake hour hand that obscures the dial, or giant but short seiko or citizen arrow hands). I find pencil hands with parallel sides leading to a clear point by far the easiest to tell time with. Anyone else feel the same way?
