Today I have a really special video for you. I’m going to show you 60 tips and tricks every Sketchup user should know about. As you can imagine, behind this short video there are hours of work and research, so I would really apreciate it, if you could at least click that like button. Keep in mind that all these tips are related to default Sketchup tools and that there are no plugins in this video. That’s because I’m actually working on a top 30 plugins for sketchup video, so be sure to subscribe if you don’t want to miss out on that content in the future.

Keep up with the good work man! I've been using sketchup for 17 years and I just bumped into your channel and already found lots of useful information!
Single best video on Sketchup ... You need to understand all of the 60 Tips and Tricks BEFORE starting any endeavour, like a course or a project. Bravo and so much needed!
I have been working with sketchup for a few years now, and I know 50 of the 60 tips. But the remaining 10 tips are true timesavers. Thank you very much.
Hands down the most useful Sketchup video I have seen yet. Delivered concisely. Learned a lot. Thanks!
Absolutely awesome! Thank you. I definitely learned some I hadn't seen before. Saving this video so I can watch again later!
Just realised I had wasted years of my time by not knowing these simple, yet highly effective tips. Top quality video👌
¡Guau! es impresionante la cantidad de información que nos has dado. Horas y horas de trabajo ahorrado aplicando tus enseñanzas. Gracias siempre.
I've been working with sketchup for a while and i found your video very useful! Thanks
tip 18 has blown my mind, here i was trying to calculate spacing and do a copy and then move it to the correct space for creating slats on a table .. thank you!!!!!!!
amazing tips and a very useful video , your work is much appreciated !
This is an excellent refresher course
Fantastic :) Thank you so much! There was plenty to learn
Great tips, learned a few. By accident I found also something useful. Suppose you have a number of identical components but then while working you realize that a bunch of them need to have the same changes . You can then select all the ones which have to be altered and right click Make Unique. All these selected objects will now be the same new component. Changes can now be applied to one of them.
Always something to learn: rounding corners has always been tricky for me, also two sidebars... gonna give that a shot ;)

Super tips...awesome..
great video well done !,,,, some comments 1) tip 42 -45 should be top 10 tips , 2) re tip 31 and 47 , i don't like the changes SketchUp has made with hidden edges and calling layers tabs . 3) re tip 16 - I use copy paste in place when moving item into different group or component - (perhaps i should use outliner,?) i would prefer if copy paste in place were accessed my context menu. 4) i did not know you could have 2 trays ! 5) i did not know at least these 9,33, 23,24,37,40, thanks !!!!!!!
off topic-2 mins in , do you model in perspective/ camera ? i cant deal with it !!! now ill watch rest of video ! cheers
You are amazing.
Very Informative
Good tips. Next I want to know is the hidden default tray that pops out whenever you move your cursor on it
it is the fastest sketchup course ever. You can literally learn sketchup from this video and start to model :D
thanks, great and fast!
amazing thank u so much
Super cool
Thank you
Great! .. Thanks a lot.
Perfect 👌
Thank you very much friend, these tips are very useful, although I knew many of them, there are others that I didn't. I have a question, I hope you answer me: How do you zoom in and out so easily? I noticed that you can take a close-up of a specific area, for example a single section of the outliner or the preferences box. I know that using Windows Magnifier you can zoom in on the area where the pointer is, but that makes the entire screen larger, not just a singular area like you did. Thanks in advance Greetings.
GOOD ONE MAN
good work
A little fast but I probably only knew half of what you showed. So thanks a million
God bless you !
I consider myself a pro SketchUp user and 23 and 32 blew my mind 🤯

My favorite one you didn’t mention is that you don’t have to scroll through your scenes layers components etc. you can have them as tabs if you get rid of the default toolbar and make your own they nest as Tabs which is much easier than scrolling up and down with the menus on the right
32 and 33 where great:)
Very good tips. I know them all but because I've been using SU for many years, but this is a goldmine for newbies and not so newbies. I miss a good one, though. Ctrl-Eraser softens the edge. Shift-Eraser hides it. So far so good. Aaaaand, Ctrl-Shift-Eraser "unsoftens" (hardens?) soft/smooth edges

@@SketchupStyle Thank you. Then you might like also this one. It's easier to do than to explain and maybe (probably) you already know it. You can rotate anything in respect to any edge. Usually you use a face to infer the orientation, but you may not have one matching what you want to do, but instead there's an edge there in the right orientation. Select the rotate tool, click on the edge and, without unclicking, move the cursor along that edge. The protractor will be oriented perpendicular to the edge. Then you can unclick and rotate as desired

is there any stress calculation apps for this ketchup?
Oh, how i wished i knew the 23rd before... Lots of times I used the calculator to get close to the percentage I needed to get the measure i wanted... (but that´s not the only useful tip on this video, althoug I have been using sketchup for 16 years now.)
14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 23, 31, 32
13:19 - 48 - does it support changes in texturing as well?
Are there any tricks to make components have more than 1 tag for example, 1 wants to show a component in Scene 1 and Scene 2 and hide it in Scene 3 or should I manually make 3 duplicate component
thank you, the video is very useful, I hope my channel can grow,

thanks for making this. The majority of tips is derived from simply reading the command prompt line. 90% is there. So my tip zero is: people read this line!
