The first part could be taught with more clarity. "Yo fui" could also mean "I went" (For example, "Fui al mercado ayer"> I went to the market yesterday). "I was" could also be written as: (Yo) "era" when talking about the past. (e.g. "Yo era una bailarina"> I was a dancer. ). . You can also use "estaba/ estuve" but that is more complicated to explain here etc. ("[yo] Estaba triste antes" >> I was sad before).

¡Muchas gracias por ver el video! "Get" significa obtener algo. Por ejemplo, cuando dices "I get a gift on my birthday" (Recibo un regalo en mi cumpleaños).
