[60 FPS] NEW Amtrak Phase VII P42DC, AMTK 161, and More Alexandria Virginia

This past Saturday was a good day to be at the Amtrak station in Alexandria, Virginia. The most notable catches were Amtrak’s 50th anniversary Phase I unit 161, my first train with two ALC-42 charger locomotives, and the best catch of the day being Amtrak no. 174, the first P42DC to wear Amtrak’s fairly new Phase VII paint scheme!
The Pennsylvania Railroad K4s 1361 is being restored to operation again and it will tour the commonwealth of Pennsylvania and beyond, when the restoration is completed.

82 will be the next one to get it
I’m very happy to say that even though they’re eventually going to be retired I’m glad to see the newer phase VII paint being applied on the P42DC genesis locomotives which tells me that They still have a lot of life left in them they’ll be around for a little bit longer

Seems that P42DCs will still be used on the corridor services that currently don’t have charger locomotives.

If you ever visit Washington, DC, definitely check out Alexandria, VA. Just across the Potomac River from DC.
