We’ve reached 581 Kabbidges, well over halfway to a face reveal at 1,000! 😶‍🌫️🥬 The Elden Ring playthrough has been slow but steady, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed challenging myself with this type of combat, exploring the stunning and rich landscape and sharing so many memorable moments with all the players I’ve fought alongside! Rest assured, I’ll be continuing the playthrough next year. Let’s hope the DLC comes out soon, hey? My reaction videos were extremely successful, with the channel gaining at least 60 subscribers and thousands of views from two such videos (reacting to Good Omens and FFVII Rebirth)which have become my most popular videos.Lazy and unethical content practices on KZread have been criticised for years, but 2023 saw this criticism become much more widespread thanks to the efforts of jacksfilms and hbomberguy. Inspired by both of them, I strived to make more insightful reactions by including concise analysis through commentary and visual references. Along with citing my sources as often and thoroughly as possible, I want to keep developing this style of video to ensure the original creators are not erased or overshadowed. improving the quality of my videos by ensuring they’re transformative and therefore have a reason to exist is an added bonus. I’ve also done a couple of political videos about issues that are very important to me. My Antisemitism/Transphobia video was dislike-bombed by right-wing trolls and my Voice Referendum video took a stance which may be controversial (ie that the Voice, according to many First Nations activists, was deliberately designed to be just another powerless advisory body at the mercy of white bureaucracy and the mining industry, and was therefore never going to offer any meaningful progress towards Sovereignty, let alone be the silver bullet the Yes campaign (largely) touted it to be). Just like with the Same-Sex Marriage Plebiscite of 2017, the Australian government is absolutely SPINELESS for forcing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to have their rights, dignity and national worth put to a popularity vote, and I grieve the damage that has been inflicted on their communities as a result. Regardless of how people voted and why, It is CRUCIAL that white and non-Indigenous allies keep showing support to First Nations people through demanding Treaty, Sovereignty and the implementation of The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP). We must NOT let this issue be reduced to yet another performative activist fad. I will continue to release political videos as often as I can, as I strongly believe that I need to use my platform to spread awareness of such issues. In 2024, I plan to release more FFVII content to compliment the release of FFVII Rebirth; this will include a playthrough and video essays. I will also sporadically continue the Elden Ring playthrough. Any reaction content will include references and transformative elements, and any political videos will continue to highlight my leftist values. Lastly, any subscriber milestones reached will be celebrated by another song cover as usual. I hope you all have an amazing festive season, and I’ll catch you all in 2024! 💚

I know right? Nearly 100 Kabbidges in 4 months is incredible! I’ll definitely be playing Rebirth on the channel, will just have to figure out how to screen capture on the PS5! 😅💚
