In this Vlog I replace the rotted wood planks, rewire the lights and put brand new tires on my 2004 6'x12' utility trailer that was in dire need of repair.

Any time I’m fling a decking project, the first thing I do is set up my chop saw, carefully measure the boards, and cut them to exact length. They’re never all the same from the lumber yard. This also gives me a good, square end.

My dad had a Pure Oil severice station back in the 50s and he had a 49 or 50 Dodge pickup and the best I can remember the spare tire was on the side of the bed and the fender had a dimple that allowed the tire to fit flush. I sold my trailer and bought a new one, too lazy to fix it. Enjoyed the enjoyed the video.

Wood looks great but should of take care of the rusty frame, I did this today on mine, WHAT A JOB but worth it at the end, hope it lasts few more years. These days it is aluminum trailers that rule.

It would be helpful to explain each step as to what you're doing and why. Also what tools you are using to achieve those results.

Not sure about the restoration promise in the title, the repair part you nailed (the bed, the electrical and the tailgate).

If I could ask, how long is your drop down tailgate? You see, I want to build one for my trailer (not currently equipped with one), but I am unsure if there is a standard? Thank you

Seems like my tailgate is around 5'. I'll try and get a measurement for you in the next couple days and post it here.

It's not very safe to be wearing shorts and shoes that don't I think those are shoes they may be flip-flops but it's not safe you should have something sturdy on your feet

Sledgehammer bro to knock out those little 2x6 blocks??? That’s overkill. Just split them in half with a 16 oz hammer and wood chisel. No need for music either and if you insist on using it, turn it way down in the mix.
