6 Weeks in Fodder School and Other Arty Projects
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This video provides a quick glimpse into my current arty projects and the great classes I've attended over the past year. I talk about my newfound love of mixed media and my return to watercolour after years of absence.
I've learned so much and just wanted to share some of that with you :) Hope you enjoy it and it inspires you to pick up a paintbrush!

I love the whole notion of letting go and splashing paint on a page and making conservative art with it! Truly a way to utilize both sides of your brain in your creativity! BRAVO 👏!
This was one of the most inspiring journal/art videos I have seen for a while. I think you (and my sister who did a course somewhat similar, recently) have made me feel as if my creative itch needs scratching!!)

Wow thank you so much! I would highly recommend Fodder School, it’s been so inspiring for me and very liberating from an art perspective 🥰
This is one of the most exciting and inspiring videos I've seen in a long while. I've been mulling over the idea of taking the fodder school class and seeing your work has certainly helped me reach the decision to plunge in. Brilliant use of your fodder journal and truly lovely work. Thank you so much, Netty!

Thank you so much! I would definitely recommend Fodder School, I’ve loved every minute and learned such a lot! Hopefully I’ll see you in school soon 🥰
Thank you for explaining so nicely and kindly the process of acquiring your own style. I am in the phase of mimicking other people ( I am not selling anything) but I will like to create my own style and I was wondering how to get there. This video makes me realized I need to first be kind to myself then keep practicing and mimicking and eventually I will get there, with patience. :) Gracias for sharing!

You are very welcome, it’s definitely a process ☺️but a very enjoyable one! 🥰
I love your fodder keeper cover! To me it looks like Monet’s water Lily pond with a waterfall.
Lovely and so freeing, what fun! Nice to have a fodder folder of ready to go pieces for your journals. 😊❤️

Loved making that fodder folder, I’m learning so much 🤩
Wow! Loved everything you have created and shown. Tfs and inspiring!
You are fantastic!! What a great video. I love it when you start to find your own style. For me, I think it is mainly geometric shapes inspired by moroccan patterns, not the perfect ones but the ones in Fessi-style henna. For my dad, who is an amazing collage artist, it is vertical, irregular fluid shapes.

Thanks so much Jenny, that’s so kind. I’m not sure I have a shape style, but certainly have colour styles I lean towards 😍
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
Oh my goodness! You are SO talented! I'm doing Fodder School, too, and having a blast, although I'm behind due to family illnesses. Even so, I regret not swatching and putting my notes in a larger workbook like you've done, and I feel I really must do that. Your samples and art pieces are just lovely. I've become a subscriber and can't wait to see what else you come up with! See you in School!

I love the natural color palette from your aquarell artwork 😍 Do you use only the Prime Marketing Palette?
I really enjoyed this, it looks and sounds like you've had a lot of fun and you've created some wonderful art with it. And I finally learned why gelli printing is called as such, I thought it was to do with the types of paint used. I had no idea that the block is squidgy! I had believed it to be firm like the acrylic blocks you stick clear stamps to for years! D'oh! Thank you for sharing. :)

You can sign up now for Fodderschool 2, which starts in October. You can still enrol in Fodderschool 1 as you get lifetime access 🙌
I love your video and have really learned so much from your inspiring video. This one in particular has me itching to unpack my art supplies and dig in. I tried to make some of your line drawings (7:35) with no luck. Did you learn that particular technique from an artist. I would love to learn how to add those line sketches into my art. Thank you in advance for your time.
Beautiful 😊

thank you very much for sharing, i also want to do the fodder school , i know it is still available
Bonjour Annette ! first of all thank you so much for sharing your experience on mixed media. I'd be interested in knowing which books you were referring to (@3:46) about colors and management, if that's possible ?

Hey Patricia! Thanks for watching! The book I referred to there is Color Harmony for Artists by Ana Victoria Calderón. I find this book a great inspiration if I’m struggling with colour and I’ve learned so much from it on mixing paints!! Definitely recommend it!

Just wondering if you used stencils for your leaves? (around the 6:15 mark in the video) They came out so nice!! Thank you in advance.

Always good to have feedback, please don’t apologise! I am a bit too expressive with my hands 🙌 Noted 😉 Thanks for taking time to watch despite the distractions ☺️
Love your video. One idea for your videos ..please stop moving your hands so much. And try keeping the art work steady instead of shaking them around. It's very distracting and made me dizzy. Just a thought. Thank you
