Why? They’re just as interesting and much more informative, and better explained then most 1st person stories. And it helps make him stand out and really fits with his voice. And brings in mysterious cases that couldn’t be here with just 1st person ones.

The person the stories focus on pretty much always dies and the cops may or may not find out who did it: once you hear one they’re all the same. First person accounts can go anywhere, they aren’t a foregone conclusion and thus they’re far more interesting and personal since they’re directly addressing the listener. They’re generally just much better and much funner to listen to 🤷‍♂️

I remember when this happened with Ashley. I didn't know her but it happened down the road from us. It was a completely heart wrenching case. When she was found behind the high-school they had just built, before they had put the canebay neighborhood in. Her case had such a huge affect on the community... such a tragic case.. my thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family and friends

Rachel Shannon (true crime KZreadr) recently put out a nearly hour long video on the Grace Millane case. For anyone interested in knowing more about the case, her video is really good and thorough. (It is so trippy hearing that case and coming back here to give Story#1 a re-listen.) 😲

Lillith sounds like she'd be fun to hang out with lol. I've had discussions about the process of human decomposition and weird unsolved murder cases on dates before.

The museum of death was crazy interesting, it closed due to Covid. Lilith was just messing with him, I brought several friends there and said stuff to freak them out because it was hilarious.

My first job was at a coroner/medical examiner's office. The people in #1 and #3 AT FIRST just reminded me of the conversations you get used to having when you work in a place like that. A lot of use used to discuss which doctors we'd want to do our autopsies if we died lol.

The end of story 1 was very well-worded and echoes many of my own thoughts. Our species has created large areas with no natural predators, and yet we must be afraid to walk alone at night in our very own neighbourhoods. We can't socialize without wondering whether someone will take advantage. We can't attempt to find a mate without wondering if it will end in our rape and/or murder. And somehow we have to balance living our lives with quality with the risk of it ending too soon. And of course if anything does happen to us, we're blamed for it. We were too stupid or we didn't have the right friends or enough friends or walked in the wrong neighbourhood or stayed out too late or didn't know our limits. But should one of us stay within strict limits to ensure our safety, why then we're paranoid, we're man-haters, we're prudes. Meanwhile the perpetrators have all the freedom in the world to live their lives with quality and to ruin it for others besides, but the responsibility is rarely ever put on them.
