I agree. True damage Akali is underwhelming. Really bad compared to KDA's backline access and disengage from enemy focus. KDA Akali is sooo much better. A similar disengage on attack, but jumping backwards, might work for TD Akali? Disregard suggestion if she already does that 😂

I actually like that you can play Poppy as a tank or a carry. I hope they don't change that and pigeonhole her as just a tank.

hay dose true damage spat give a passive bling bonus to the spated unit like some thing simple like 5-10% damage reduction seeing it can be used on front or back line as a front line becomes a little more tanky and a back line unit can make more use out of the true damage. I under stand like giving a back line unit 30% bonus true damage they don't really need a bling bonus.

i got a headliner quiyana the other day, was insane

con you not make multiple items multi use for backline or frontline? It makes it less often to happen that we decide what comp we play when we get our first few items. So for example bloodthirster gets a bit of crit and lifesteal to teammates in backline instead of only lifesteal for the champ that wears it

True Damage Akali's issue is that she's squishy and can't get through tanks fast enough before enemy carry focus on her. I think she's like Set 9 Morde who needs range to be safe, be built into a bruiser so she can last long enough like in your scenario where you had HoJ+Superfan+Encore giving tons of survivability, or tons of mana generation so she can spam through the entire frontline.

Idk if he got to test but I hit poppy 3 the other night and went 3rd. Felt really underwhelming.

What about edm, i dont even know what it does. I've never seen any video with them :/

You pick an edm unit and every edm unit copies their spell every so often. Foe example 4 lux lasers, 4 Zac bounces, so on

I think the problem with True Damage Akali is her skill, i do not see any issue with KDA Akali for example. True Damage one feels frustrating.

akali seems to be doing a lot of damage maybe her build is bad? there is no way her BIS is an immortal reminder so maybe replacing that with something like a BT or steraks? maybe BT instead of HOG would make a big difference? or maybe a small buff to her base hp who knows

Probably had a lot to do with Superfan being dog trash late game and having a frontline made of paper as a result. His only tank was a 2 star Ekko with zero armor items. When you're still fielding a 1 star Lillia on 6-5, don't expect great results IMO. That being said I think you're also onto something and MR doesn't belong on a melee carry.

What about using portals to chose the set

They probably don't have the memory budget for that. There would need to be a second loading screen between loading the portals and loading the new set.

does anyone have this issue where you play true damage akali headliner and then found kda akali headliner in the shop and you cant buy it even though its the same unit?

Sometimes, "being strong" and "looking strong" ain't the same. Or dealing damage and doing kills. KDA Akali looks strong. True Damage Akali seems to do damage, but doesn't seem to have kills. But maybe it was me.

saying only being carried by Encore! is an interesting statement. its still a gold augment, it should have impact. if it does not proc, you are a gold augment down compared to all the other boards (example 9units with tons of stats are...a tons of stats you are fighting against. or a extra unit augment is one more unit to kill, like your headliner has to be killed once more too.) i still would not take the augment probably, while still only one unit benefits (jeweled lotus still better) also, you damage carry in frontline to get "all" initial aggro, sure mana is nice, but without a aggro drop... of course she is squishy and gets stomped...

Personally I would rather you didn't use the playlist for this set. I love this ingame music system, and would hate to see it pass us by without using it for more than the PBE

I'm the opposite, turned the in-game music off after the first week of PBE. It's a cool system but hearing the soundtracks loop endlessly bugs the hell out of me.

I agree but I think people who don't like the music feel more strongly about it so it will probably be the usual playlist
