The mere thought of having Jordan, Hakeem and Clyde on a same team is scary ... Like really scary. Their own worst enemies would probably be themselves and chemistry... But if they somehow managed to adapt, they would be unstoppable and Op as hell...

Kobe Bryant is one example who is quite well-known for being in trade rumors back in the 2000s. He even wanted to be traded to the Clippers, according to Jerry West.

The problem is most legends that stayed with one team were rarely ever in talks about being traded. There's a reason they stayed with one team. Because they were good. It would have to be a video with multiple players. Because almost everyone was talked about being traded once. I know kobe, Dirk was rumored to be traded for Shaq. Thats all I can think of really.

Unfortunately, MJ had a terrible team ( in the 80s ). He was the only star player in his team. MJ in the East had to face teams such as the Boston Celtics, Pistons and Bucks. JORDAN is the only one who put up a decent resistance to the Detroit Pistons team ( 1989/1990 ). As soon as Scotte Pippen made it to his first All-star Gamer, the Chicago Bulls were on the verge of beating the Pistons. But in Game 7, of the 1990 Eastern Conference Finals, half of the team was injured. Pippen had a migraine.

Interesting the rockets chose the twin towers over the two greatest shooting guards in there era to team with hakeem...that would've been at least a 10peat...but you can't fault them because they had the two greatest big men to come out of college in a long time back to back and thought it would be a devastating combination but ultimately failed in having a trifecta of alltime greats in there 1st and second yrs in the league...combined they won 9 championships and 8 finals mvps and made 11 finals appearances individually as opposed to one final appearance with the twin towers.

That 1988 Clipper deal was actually better than that: supposedly it was combination of any five players/picks they had. Let's say they took Cage, Benjamin, Woodson (arguably best three players clips had at the time) + both picks. They possibly counted on Mitch Richmond being there at #6. Having, say, a core of Smits (taken with #1 instead of manning), Richmond, Pippen, Oakley and Horace Grant would be pretty decent. Plus they'd still have their own pick and could take a point guard later on, like Strickland. Maybe not three-peat material, but would be interesting for sure.

i've read that jerry west annointed jordan, before he became a superstar the first player in a long time who reminded him, west, of himself. additionally i do recall jordan, as a rookie and in his hs years he was a laker and magic johnson fan plus he would often speak of the lakers with graceful admiration and the squad they had at the time and especially was more than aware they employed one of his "chosen five", unc teammate james worthy. also, i can't imagine dr. buss wishing and salivating to somehow get mj in a laker jersey and catapulting the value of the lakers into the stratosphere and somehow trade for or sign him. the only thing is i can't find any info that mentions any behind the scenes talk of the lakers wanting jordan. i'm sure there was some time in jordan's bulls years the lakers wanted him and especially what kind of market value that would translate to the laker brand and value but might anyone know if there was ever mention of that?? i remember when pj came to coach la the Times even had print he reached out to jordan to come out of retirement to join his squad. i read in fact, i believe a book by jackie mcmullen that he did give it serious thought and weighed the possibility with his precious time, but eventually backed out because he ultimately concluded his needs on his part to play his best game would not bode well with the dynamic of the laker roster and very likely would have been relegated to a third option behind shaq and kobe, if i recall correctly.

If the Bulls did trade Jordan for those two picks. Including theirs picks hat year. The best they could have drafted would be Mitch Richmond, Hersey Hawkins, Rod Strickland and John Stark.

If MJ would play on today's NBA, do you think that he would really demand a trade to go on a strong & competitive team just like what other NBA players like AD or Lebron did? Or would he become loyal from his team/franchise & stay there till he retire where he was drafted just like what Kobe, Dirk or Tim Duncan?

if you look, all this trades was in the middle to late 80's, when Jordan's reputation was not as high, he was still viewd as a ball hog hot minded guy who could not be a leader, when he mature and start to become the leader that the Bulls needed, they won't trade him for nothing.
