    In most cases, your employer should provide you insurance cover in the form of occupational injury insurance, health insurance, life insurance, and occupational pension insurance. The Swedish Migration Agency sometimes requires proof of this. You can obtain the certificates of insurance from your employer. You can only avail the free medical service if you have personal number (social security number )

    @@roamwithashutosh I do have an offer in Almhult Ikea but the thing is that the after tax income is similar to what I get in India. Not much difference there. But The main thing that is a real issue for me is that I cannot bring my parents and that is a deal breaker for me right now as parents are old and I need them to be near me. Not sure if I am taking the right call or not. I have experience in Stolckholm earlier when I visited for a conference and I found it a bit gloomy initially. So I looked at your videos to understand what life in sweden is all like. I am fine with the High taxes but not being close to my parents is a big issue. Is there any alternative there?

  • @roamwithashutosh

    @roamwithashutosh

    3 жыл бұрын

    Personal number doesn't depend upon your employer. It depends upon the case officer. As my wife had not 1 year stay from the day she arrived to her visa ends, it took longer time. Even though they say it will take 6-8 weeks, it will normally come with in 3-4 weeks. Coming back to bank account, your employer may ask you to provide any account in India or they can keep the salary in some temporary account and once you submit your bank details , they will release the salaries (in my case this happened). But again there are banks like SEB, they will open bank account if they see your UT card and offer letter but again it depends on the bank employee. 🙂

    Hi bro We are moving to Sweden in few days How much language(weight) were u allowed to take ? I heard that we don’t get cookers and mixers is that true

    Luggage*, it depends on your flight..check with your airlines. Yes you won't get pressure cooker here. You can get it from India(which should work on induction) and mixer also you won't get here, it will be costly or you can get 2nd hand option.
