Akana's firstball contact is not it at all, halter has to remain as libero. Ball coverage and reception has been one crucial difference from last season

What's funny is she transferred from Nebraska because she wanted to be Libero.. and she still isnt.

@@ashleighreynolds7202her level as a DS dropped alot after she transferred. She didnt show any improvement while fleck was libero, on the other hand emma halter has been a fantastic DS. With half the team serving tough, akana can only be significant if she increased her ace to service run points

I’m so sorry, I have to say it… But Jerritt should not be the head coach anymore. From last season to this season, you can see a clear disconnect within the players. It’s obvious that Texas’ coaching staff does not win, unless they have obvious good players on their team. Texas cannot coach the team they already have and the recruits they bring in, they only coach good players. I feel like the Texas team is more concerned about branding, than actual volleyball, which is not a bad thing considering that volleyball is a fast growing sport now, but I just don’t understand why they can’t coach and teach the same dynamics as last year. We basically have all the same players as last year, but obviously something isn’t clicking. I understand there’s a new freshmen setter, but what were they looking at when they thought of recruiting because her placement is terrible and she’s super inconsistent. I have yet to see a game where they utilize Phillips and O’Neal. With reps and practice she should be getting better, but she’s not, and for that I kind of blame the coaching because obviously something isn’t working. I feel like Texas is more concerned about the ranking of players coming out of high school and if they’re a top 10 recruit, rather than… do they actually have the skill, the mindset, the enthusiasm, the mobility, the endurance, the drive. Volleyball is a lot more than just going thru the motions. I hope this team can get it together and get their heads on straight because there is absolute talent on this team. But one thing for sure, we need a better setter and we need a better libero. Both are lacking in their roles right now and we need them to do better.

That one rotation where molly is OH and wenaas on the OPP might be problematic
