I'm buying this truck due to the fact they are pretty much bullet proof and so versatile. The hard part is deciding on the wheels I want to run. Update: I bought a 350k mile Suburban Z71 4x4. Still runs and drives. I will put new 5.3L or bigger 6.0L engine from GM,Jasper etc. I will run a set of 285/75/17 on steel wheels. Leaning towards the Kryptonite 3" kit or may just do the Rough Country. I plan on doing long distance towing and overlanding with it in the future. God Bless!

@@cammann1561 believe it or not the 99-06 denalis are AWD so they don’t even have 4x4 shifters the truck automatically senses when it needs to use all wheels

Why did he use the rear shock brackets if he has the longer Bilstien shocks??? I thought those brackets are only for the old stock shocks?

Darrell Butler Should have used the remote reservoir 5160’s and tossed those brackets. Those springs can fall out if there’s too much up travel.

Christopher Brown Putting on those shock extension brackets when you have longer than stock Bilstien’s can create too much travel (longer than the spring) and the springs can fall out under full shock extension. Compare your stock shocks at full extension to the Bilstien’s.

@@jeromeburrasca6710 did you not see where he said he used stock length bilstein shocks? If you let the suspension down all the way those bilsteins won’t let the spring fall out they are factory length

Personally I’m not even sure of the brands that make a 4 inch lift for them. The cheapest route to get a 3 inch lift without buying a full lift would be to get 3 inch leveling kit for $2-300
